LIZARD SQUAD is Back. Planning XBL Attack. "Biggest attack yet". [UP: XBL/PSN Down]

They've obviously spent some time coming up with all these smoke screens, namely, fake enemies (whether individuals or group names), as well as these "interviews" where their goal seems to be: be as vague and confusing as possible (unless they truly are just that stupid, which is possible).

At this point outside of maybe known Anonymous accounts, I'd ignore any tweets or other noise.

Just got transferred twice until I got to someone "higher-up" named Albert.

They said they couldn't offer any information, but they said that they are aware of the outage and are aware of what those with Plus are experiencing,

. He also said that they would be giving a statement regarding the outage and some sort of compensation soon.

I wouldn't get my hopes up though, this is CS, where everyone is the higher-up when they want to be. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sony statement thing wasn't a lie though.

I was really hoping the PSN would be up tonight. Not looking like that will be the case. What a bummer.

i'm actually talking about ps3 and ps4, respectively. if steam was down as well i wouldn't know what to do honestly, at least i have dota to pass the time.

He's sad that people can't find anything better to do during Christmas than playing games. Maybe that would be a good time for the interviewer to remind this kid what he's spending his time doing..?

And I wonder if he knew at the time of the interview that one of his members claimed ties to al qaeda and threatened to do terrorist attack on the government because he doesn't like that prostitution is illegal..?

I completely understand what you're saying, it just doesn't make sense when applied to the real world. Things happen that are out of peoples control. When those things happen there isn't always someone or something that you can or should blame.

The only thing these companies actually might "owe" people is adding the lost time to their live/ psn accounts
 
I don't want any compensation other than the 2 days that were remaining from my PS+ sub that I couldn't use because of this.

The whole situation is just so disappointing and, of course, it had to happen on my long weekend. And the day Xur puts out the exotic armor that I wanted. Oh well.

That's my concern. This sort of thing is relatively easy to pull off. There's nothing significant keeping copycats from doing it. For the lulz.

Maybe to some degree it could possibly encourage some sick bastards, but i dont think them people need too much encouragement, getting on the tv news and every site on the internet is far more encouragement to them surely. I really cant see someone ever doing something like this in the hope of free games.

I dont want free games from sony for this personally, but a free month of plus for every customer effected sounds about right imo.

PS4 PSN up for me. GTA Online down. It's saying "Can't get files", no longer anything about PSN.

These "kids" are now showing their faces - it's like they want to be caught.

The sad truth is that it's only a matter of time before they are caught and paying the price... I can only imagine the sentence, but I would guess several years in prison - after a few years, I wonder who will be "lulz'ing."
 
Turned on my XBOX ONE..downloaded all the updates..downloaded the apps that I wanted..put in the code for 14 days of XBOX LIVE..now just have to figure out if it took both codes because my XBOX ONE came with two codes 14 days a piece so not sure if I can add both or it overwrited the other one

Ahhhhh.... I still have 2 hours of 'work' left to get done. So hopefully after that I'll be able to relax with some games for a while. I've got $50 psn credit that's burning a hole in my virtual wallet.

That makes no sense. It's not true. Sony's probably fending off the attacks. It's not stable, but getting better. Seems these people are trying to take credit. Don't buy into it.

I think free PSN time is totally cool and I would be happy with that. Free games not so much, there are people demanding multiple free games out there for a few days of no MP lol. Free PSN is completely in line for having to deal with no PSN when you pay for it. Thats fair.

So how has Xbox been for everyone? It was off until 2am for me Christmas evening but ever since it has been fine aside from some weird purchasing issues last night while I was trying to get the Interview.

I haven't even bothered to turn the PS4 on since there isn't anything I want to play on it at the moment anyway.
