Bought a Pit from a Third Party Seller on Amazon (The Factory Depot) on monday. It's still preparing to ship and expected to ship on 12/30. Does anyone have any experience with places like this? Will they actually ship it or will it most likely be cancelled?
 
I went for it. 38 euros total so 45.50 about. You can't beat that, especially when just Marth is selling for about 60.00 on Amazon.

I'm coming after you guys if my credit card shuts me down!!!
 
I preordered Rosalina and Meta Knight from amazon.co.jp and it will be shipped to a forwarder (Tenso)

Yep, at this point I'm definitely going to try and get all of them. Already built a shelf to hold them all lol. :(

Probably not. They got complaints before about Skylanders and they're the same. Its usually a 50/50 chance that it'll come nice from them although I've never had a problem with their shipping of things. Always in a box unlike TRU

I hate buying things online because of cheap packaging. Amazon will ship $100 bluray sets in bubble envelopes or folded cardboard taped together. Bestbuy mails things in what looks like vacuumed sealed garbage bags that offer zero protection for the awful eco cases everything comes in now.
 
Just spent the last few hours looking all over my area for a Captain Falcon amiibo. My primary target was a gamestop at a mall not far from where I live which claimed to have them in stock online. Well, they did have some in stock....but only for people who also preordered SSB4 before launch. I then tried every other place which might sell amiibos nearby but all of them were cleaned out.

My last stop was a toys r us which had a really big stock of amiibos but had none of the rare ones. I asked about Cap and they said he was supposed to arrive a few days ago but there was a shipping error and they only got Pit. =(

While going through these stores I was also looking for any rare/older games just in case and the Toys R Us had a cheap, unopened copy of Rhythm Heaven and I ended up buying that to make the trip not feel totally worthless. It's something I guess.
 
I need to pre-order Rosalina, but I just can't bring myself to pay above MSRP for these things. I'm preparing myself for the worst when trying to find her in stores come launch day.

I have Meta Knight, King DeDeDe and Toon Link on pre-order from Best Buy so at least I'll only have to stress about Target and not Best Buy. :/

I don't know about Toadette, but there has to be a Toad Amiibo in the works. I mean you can play him in current Mario games. It would be weird to have Rosalina and not him.

I don't know about Toadette, but there has to be a Toad Amiibo in the works. I mean you can play him in current Mario games. It would be weird to have Rosalina and not him.

You will not find her on launch day for awhile Scalpers are ruthless
 
Honestly, Rosalina and Lucario are the ones we should worry least about, TRU and Target are sure to have AT LEAST 3 in release day, so if you are there first time in the morning you should get it.

I'll worry about Shulk and Meta Knight, EVEN if I preordered. They both took waaaaaaay too many preorders in my opinion and I won't be surprised if we don't see massive cancelations, but hopefully it doesn't go this way, for the sake of my sanity. Both GameStop and Best Buy have history of fucking up preorders, not holding them and even taking them non-preorder figures for themselves before the even hit the ground.

For the record, I like both companies, but damn that track record they have with me is kind of scary.

I just hope Target places a 2 order maximum limit on Rosalina in-store. Not that it will stop the most dedicated of scalpers but it would ensure people lined up in the morning would get a fair chance in stead of the first person buying all 16 or however many.
 
Could get a japanese WFT for $25 with 2-3 week shipping (an extra ten to get it much sooner). Very tempted to do so.
Also, what colors are you guys choosing for your in game amiibos? I've done purple/purplesque colors for all my amiibo thus far.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get Captain Falcon since I just can't stop thinking about that stand, but I figured I might as well while I can so I don't regret it later on.

Little Mac looks amazing though. One of the better looking amiibo in my opinion. Even if face looks pretty spot-on.

Knowing how Target handles their designer clothing exclusives, there will be no limit to how many people can buy.

There are actual videos on youtube of people grabbing handfuls of clothes to resell and Target does nothing about it. It's ridiculous.

So guys I have a predicament. Someone gifted me a Samus amiibo but I already have her. I don't have the receipt but is it possible for me to try to exchange Samus for a different amiibo at Target? Target policy states that I may be able to exchange for a similar item without a receipt but the tough part I feel is that the person who wrapped the Samus amiibo was kind of rough with the packaging. It still perfectly sealed but some parts are bent.

I recieved a copy of destiny and zelda OOT for 3DS, both of which I already had. No reciept but was told they were from target by the gifter so I went in today. They took my ID and gave me credit for them, but the lowest price it had been (guess destiny had been $40). They'll probably do the same for you since it's still post holiday season.

Why not just call GS before driving all over? Takes minutes and they'll hold items for you...
 
i'm out :(

i got all of the first wave, most of the 2nd wave.

this is stressfull.

i'm not even going to try with the third wave.

reverting to only getting characters I really like, and ones that have usefull in game applications!
