Is Xbox usually this slow of a download? I'm DL at 117.66Mbps but the bandwidth usage is 700Bps. What is going on? MCC has been down loading for hours and it's barely halfway through.

You playing any other games while it's downloading?

It downloads slower if you are, as when you play your also writing and reading off the hard drive at the same time

So it restricts install speed not to effect other games etc

If it is set to auto on ps4 it depends on the routers configuration.

For example before Christmas my router mtu was 1492 (which is pretty close to 1500), after Christmas I could not login to ps4 for days.

Then with all this mtu talk going on I figured I'd change the value on my router whilst leaving the ps4 on auto and then it let me on.
 
Can't connect again. I was browsing the store checking prices on Ultimate Evil edition and it locked up, now getting same error message as I got during the DDOS.

No. I have no games to play yet. This be my first one.
 
And now it let me back onto the store but when I go to checkout with Diablo Ultimate Evil edition it just stays loading and I can't even backout. WTF IS THIS.

Been online since the 26th haven't touched anything in the network settings since I bought the PS4.
 
At this point it's a damn joke. I haven't been able to log on except once last night. Now it's going down for people again. What the hell are they doing?
 
I can't get online with my Vita, can't check on my PS4 since it's sitting in a box at the moving company waiting for the stupid dorm management office to get me a fucking room at the base I've been at for 3 fucking weeks.
 
I put this on the PSN thread but this thread seems to be more popular.

Any one else think Sony have tried to stop DDoS attacks way to hard and this has messed up normal people connecting? Any one know more about this and if it is possible?
 
Its VERY spotty right now. If I keep trying it will eventually connect but it disconnects shortly after. I just spammed the sync trophy button and finally synced em. Keep in mind PSN has worked fine for me the past few days with no changes to settings.
 
It's time for Sony to take this money and fucking invest it. Once it gets back up and running they can't just sit around and do nothing until this happens again.

Who am I kidding. Of course they will.
 
Not to be disrespectful of the engineers working but honestly if they are having this much trouble doing their jobs it might be time to let them go and get some people who can handle this.
 
Was working pretty good all yesterday now back to cannot connect to server.Most other stressers/Ddos vendors say whoever is doing this has serious power server and bandwidth wise to keep up an attack this long on a huge scale.Basically its believed Lizard squad somehow got ahold of and rooted Google servers with Kaiten.

What sucks is most mitigation techniques wouldn't filter out the botnets as they claim they are sending legit log in requests to the server so things like Solar Flare are useless now.What people need to understand is its nearly impossible to stop this there's so many different techniques like R-U-dead etc its basically up to the culprits how long this will last its their servers and band with.
 
You know. I've fucking had it. That's it. I've fucking had it with Sony. A friend and I were going to fucking finish Crota hopefully tonight. I'm so goddamn sick and tired of this shit.

Is there even evidence of an ongoing attack? It seems quite a few people were able to log on and play the last day or so. With still some people having trouble. Now it's just down again.
 
PSN down for me in St. Louis

Edit: able to sign into PSN, but unable to see friends lists, updated messages or connect to game servers
 
Just tried to buy a few games on the PS4's PSN and it froze while loading the cart, then logged me off when I tried to exit. After screwing around for a few minutes it let me back in, but it's slower than fuck right now.
