I think Bayonetta 2, Shadow of Mordor, Shovel Knight, Wolfenstein, Far Cry 4, South Park, and Mario Kart 8 are all pretty much locks for the top 10.
Transistor, Sunset Overdrive, Hearthstone, Alien Isolation, Jazzpunk, Titanfall, Smash Bros, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, Threes, and Destiny will all have arguments for the last 3 slots. I bet they pick Call of Duty, Alien, and Transistor.

Holy shit Alex has got be like at least 60 percent of these podcasts so far.
That's a solid list. I agree with most of this.
My prediction is that Far Cry 4 and Advanced Warfare makes it higher up on the list and that Alien and Transistor are removed for Jazzpunk and Titanfall.

Alex, though I liked him just fine before, has really grown on me in the last year or two. Here's a weird compliment: The staff member for whom I feel the least animosity when they say something I disagree with is Alex. He's chill, he's nuanced, and he's not overbearing with his opinions like Jeff and Brad can be.

after klepek couldn't even keep mario 3d world in the top 10 last year Alex had to fly all the way from NY to get shit in shape.
So he's like Vinny.
I think Shadow of Mordor is gonna take the top spot. Seems like it's a constant on everyone's list and at a higher spot for most. It'll be super interesting to hear the arguments tomorrow though.

I don't think anyone can blame you for erring on the side of Jeff not having a Nintenedo published wii u exclusive Bayonetta game in his top 10. There are a lot of things working against that

I love, LOVE GB - I'm a premium subscriber - but the absurd and downright fucking stupid consistently arbitrary refusal to recognize certain games kind of pisses me off.
Like, how Ground Zeroes doesn't even get nominated for best style - a game with cinematography inspired by Hitchcock, the only video game in recent memory to use a Ennio Morricone song, the debut of one of the most stunning next-gen game engines. I'm sure Jeff and Patrick would have some pretentious shit to say about how offended they were at the story while they fetishize their Wrestling and horror movie collections (yeah, "high caliber" taste fellas) to not even get the game in the nomination.
Otherwise, it's been a great year end series as usual. The local multiplayer deliberation was charming and makes me want to play nidhogg.t

The only ones beating the Destiny drum will be Brad and maybe Drew. There are far too many negatives about that game for it to make the cut, Jeff won't let it happen

I'm thinking you don't understand what they meant by "style". It wasn't "most stylish", it was more like..."most cohesive visual, auditory, and interactive elements".
Anyone taking bets on if Destiny will appear on the overall top 10? I can see it being at least on the bottom of the list.

I'd say he's the most submissive one by far. How many times have we heard him not defend a game he put on the list? Or when a game is suggested to come off he liked, he says "that's fine"? C'mon Alex, don't let the rest of the crew push you around!
After Patrick burned him last year by letting 3D World get off the list he has to come out strong.

Me, TharpDaddy and Wunder have an avatar bet going on: If Destiny is top 10 me and Wunder will have avatars of Tharp's selection for 2 months, if it's not he'll get an avatar for 3 months.
I doubt Drew will have much sway in that conversation, it'll be Brad versus the world, with possibly Jeff barely in his corner.

Myggen and I have an avatar bet going for it. Wunder, in a moment of what could only have been profound insanity, also backed Myggen. If they win I wear whatever avatar for 3 months, if I win they both have to wear my avatar choices for 2 months.

Destiny is the best playing shooter this year. That alone can get it into the top 10, even if the rest of the game is weaker.
I hope you're right, but I totally think he will.

Alex and Jason had the best segments. I thought they'd do more with Jeff but the whiteboard part was pretty great. I wonder if that was even scripted. Wonder what they have cooked up for tomorrow.

That's exactly what I was thinking as I watched it. If I get a Wii-U, it'd be for Bayo 2, Hyrule Warriors, and Wonderful 101.
Drew's not going to fight hard for Destiny and the only reason Jeff keeps playing Destiny is so he can continue to call Brad out whenever he tries to defend it.
That said, I still think 3 of the assumed 4 hours tomorrow will be Brad digging in his heels on Destiny.
If I can throw my hat in I bet it will crack the top 10. I would put my avatar on the line as well if it's not.

I'm confident enough that i'll even stick with 3 months despite being 2 of us.
I'll stick with 3 months as well. Brad managed to move mountains when he got Mass Effect 3 on the list and also got it higher than #10. I have faith in him.
Patrick, Dan and Jason will be the biggest opposition. I can see Vinny and Alex being indifferent. Drew has Destiny in his top 10 and has also commented on how great the game feels. I can see Brad convincing the guy who wears the pants at GB, Jeff, to put it at number 10. Brad will play off his hatred for Smash and MK8 allowing Destiny to make it.
I'm telling you, Myggen... its happening.

All he has to do is fight from the stance that it's the best playing shooter of the year. From a pure mechanics and production standpoint it's worthy of the list, and Jeff has said he appreciates it on that level.
I want it to be on the list and even I fear the Brad filibuster. There are no winners that emerge from that dark time.
I can't see Alex being neutral on this, will heavily lean against it. But that said, I always fear the Brad filibuster.
Jeff is probably of the opinion that AW feels better. So it's not even got that going for it! I think it depends on when it's brought up in comparison with other games.
