All my jelly. I live in the middle of nowhere so I can't really go to shows, even though I love musicals.

:(

Disney! It was originally performed in Germany, but they made a few changes to the story that went along with the novel.
Esmeralda dies.
Last I heard they were doing auditions. We'll see if they keep the changes or make it "family friendly" again.

Neat! I'll keep an eye out even though I'm guessing it won't go on tour for a while, if at all.

School of Rock? :O Nice.

Yup. Not just that it's being made by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It may also premiere in Broadway instead of London first, which is really awesome.

Lloyd Webber is considering Broadway as the first stop for School of Rock because of U.S. child labor laws, which are not as strict as those in London. More restrictive child labor laws in the U.K. necessitate casting three to four children to fill one role due to the amount of time the young performers are able to work.

Lloyd Webber told the Telegraph that there was a "strong possibility" the production will premiere in New York first because it is easier to cast child performers in the U.S. He also added that the title's popularity in the States was an added bonus.

I always thought the movie was really charming and occasionally funny and sweet script, so I think it's a good production for Broadway. It's the type of show I'd be able to take my nephew and niece too as well, which is a double bonus.

Do you not have any local theaters? Around here we have the Kirby Center only about 30 minutes away, and it's obviously not Broadway but the productions are quite big considering the location. You might also choose to look into productions at colleges or even High Schools, if you read around you can find the ones that are highly regarded programs and get your fill that way.

There is a local theatre that hosts touring shows, and a small community theatre scene, but they don't tend to have musical shows. High school productions aren't a bad idea, I've just never really thought to check them out.

Too much of anything would. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Too much wine could never be a bad thing.

The thing about High School productions is you have to search around a bit to find a school really dedicated to it. Private High Schools tend to have the most high quality ones, but finding a good one basically means a bit of research and the ability to suffer through a few bad productions until you find one that you really dig. Because High School can have a wide range of quality levels for obvious reasons. And budgets for these shows tend to be low.

I enjoy them because they can be very earnest. So even though I live close enough to go to several Broadway Shows every year and several at the Kirby Center, I still try to support the community and these schools by going to plays/musicals at some of the local High Schools. And some of them have been pretty damn amazing believe it or not haha

Not really. But There wasn't much to do during Christmas and New Year so I overslept often.

I love sleeping so much sometimes. Too much. Dreamworld is so relaxing for me, no stress...no stress. And I feel like I always am overstressing myself.

I'm sure you already tried the aspirin and whatnot?

Not with the weird ass dreams I have.

Tonight I was back in school 14 years ago but a anti-matter anomaly caused a time-rift that made my close environment change into 14 years later whever I went. In class I noticed that I have all the wrong books and stuff in my desk so I went outside to look if they were in my locker.
There I found that everything was different too. All stuff that didn't belong to me. When I searched the papers in there I found letters dated from 2014 and the birthdate of the student was from the late 90's while it was still 2000/2001.
Later the class had went to a tech museum and everybodys mind was blown because obviously things exposed there were advanced for more than a decade.

what the heck. this sounds like the plot to Back to the Future 4 now with more quantum entanglement lol. Awesome and bizarre at the same time. This is such a hyper specific dream too. Do you have an interest in that sort of scientific stuff re: quantum mechanics/time travel/etc?

Sometimes I try to dream about crazy quantum/space stuff by listening to lectures about quantum physics as I'm falling asleep, but it never really works.

There is one weird quirk I have. Sometimes when I can't sleep, I go through this really long extended visual exercise. I'll imagine myself on top of the Empire State Building (I've been up there before many times so I try to recreate it in my minds eye as vividly as possible). I'll spend minutes agonizingly mapping out every corner of the cement barrier, the steel grating preventing jumpers, the tacky souvenir shop up top. And then I'll intentionally imagine myself peering out through the viewfinder thing, only to have the cement barrier and steel grating crack and bend and fall away from the building, leaving me hanging on from a jagged piece of metal fencing for my dear life. I'll imagine all the papers being blown out of the shop and through the newly exposed hole in the barrier, due to the wind. Imagine people's suit ties flapping wildly as they try to inch their hands toward my arm to grab me in.

But eventually I'll let go and imagine myself falling blissfully to my oblivion, only to wake up the next day and realize it put me to sleep. And usually that night I'll have some really weird dreams about flying or falling.

Late night sandwich and soup. Also late night TV watching before bed. Burn Notice is like the ultimate feel good television show.

Yes I'm interested in that stuff but I didn't think much about it in the last few days.

My dreams get more and more specific and logical as I get older and the places in there retain a geographic and chronological continuity. It's weird.

You guys and girls all look great, beautiful crowd on Gaf :D

Never thought the thread would gain that much traction that quickly, color me impressed.

Think I did this last year, I guess I can let Luigi retire for a month. My Nokia Lumia 520 doesn't have a front facing camera, so taking selfies is still an awkward process.

Take the picture in front of a mirror, look at your screen in the mirror.

*magic*

But then it looks like I'm posing, and no one can know I'm secretly vain!

My 920 does have a front facing one, and yet I still don't it as I don't like the quality. I am making things to difficult for myself.

;_;

I get that sometimes, the quality looks bad on the phone but when I view it on my laptop it looks fine.

That is not Bam Bam in that photo, that is Action Bronson.

I feel so used. I mean who would just lie like that.

I was pretty skeptical of Bob's Burgers when I first saw it, but I see so many people raving about it. I might have to add it to my list of things to watch.

I can't handle how ugly everyone is in that show, and that's coming from someone who watched Home Movies. Everyone else I know seems to like it so I guess I'll have to cave in. Probably worth it for an animated Annie Clark cameo.
