I feel like there are only a few cases where "cheesy" and "shoddy" aren't synonymous, and these are three of the best.

I watched that movie in high school as part of a project on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

How more it is based on a real life story how much more effective it is for me.
I mean, Grave of the Fireflies was great, but still, a lot of it is fiction. Then Hachi, ouch, that hurts a lot. Then many many tears when I watch a few scenes from Africa (somehow even more during feel-good scenes, first time that happened).
And then fucking Dear Zachary which is entirely non-fictional.

Just stupid workplace drama with some of my younger coworkers. This coworker in particular is friends with a guy and a girl who are dating each other (this is all in the same store). The guy wants to break up, for what the coworker believes are shitty reasons, thus her frustration.

That's the problem with dating co-workers especially if they work on the same shift. It's awkward and unnecessary drama I feel bad for the manager who has to juggle all these relationship in order to ensure a proper workplace.
Ugh, I hated those at my job, good thing it doesn't happen much anymore, if at all.

Well, where are work there is one couple in making and one that fell apart. At least they are not on the same shift, otherwise they would probably shove each other from the ladders.
Damn, i need to leave that workplace this year and found something more normal.

True, at times you just watch from the sidelines because certain individuals might be rude while you're expressing your point of view so I understand why it might deter you to perhaps say something. Although once you want to say something that person just got banned lol. But glad you're on board! So post whatever comes to mind, you have a voice and a say! the good people can't stay shut =]

I think, anytime you get a large group of diverse people together, you are going to have problems. It's just human nature. You can't, not have bad eggs in a group of people. And even people that aren't bad eggs, it's just about different personalities trying to mash together. It doesn't always work.
If you look at a lot of major communities like Reddit, or anything else, there is always going to be problems. There just is. But, IMO GAF has definitely gotten it right the most. I overall think this forum is consistent in how great it is. It can have flaws and stumble, just like any major community will. But I think the core group of people here are really really good people. And I think the way the forum is ran (and the way people are expected to act)...makes it all come together.
