Yup, that's who I was thinking of! Phisheep is super smart too, always learn from him.

That's the oldest regular GAF member I can think of. I really am curious if we have anyone who regularly posts in their 70s :P

Yeah, he's amazing! I wish he would join RPJ. He's always so positive and full of great advice. Oh and in my opinion, you look younger than 30, maybe it's the way you have your hat :P

Glad to see this thread is still going strong. I had the worst nightmare about being "degolved" -_- I advise that no one google that term if you don't know what that is.

it's amazing how reverse psychology works. ):

i have a decent imagination, unfortunately

I can't google it since I'm at work and don't want to risk it.

But I still want to know what that is.

Imagine the skin on your hands as gloves. Now imagine the finger portion of that glove being torn off.

There were some machine workers here last night discussing it. I thought I knew what they were talking about, but I googled it to be sure. I very much regret it.

it would probably be worse if i actually googled it

ANYWAY!!!

since i know the conversation is going to get there eventually:

I am indifferent to Hawaiian Pizza. i like ham, but not pineapple so much.

Hawaiian pizza angers me. I take issue with mixing sweet and savory.

Well I don't want to get banned again, let's not go with this discussion again.

Man you guys are making me blush. Maybe it's because I've been off the playing field for a while but I'm not used to getting compliments like that haha. Makes me feel really good about myself, which is unbelievably helpful for someone like me who battles to keep his depression and anxiety down every day. I really appreciate the kind words.

I was surprised when I saw your avatar because I would never have guessed you're a man who recently beat Cancer. You look healthy and ready to own the next day. Like I keep saying, you're my hero man. There's another GAFer who also beat cancer (forgot his nickname all of a sudden), and he too was all springing back with a vengeance at life. So inspirational. I hope I have half the courage to face down that sort of adversity when it comes. They say you are really defined as a person in those moments.

I've failed some of my personal tests in the past I know, so I really want to nail it now that I have my drug addiction demon behind me (two years clean now, I made it through New Years Eve again which is always the hardest time for me).

You are one of the best people on here. You are really nice and kind. I respect the hell out of you. I love your posts. And you were really kind to me when I had my cancer. I'll never forget that.

And so to me, it's really nice to see what you look like. Because you look just as amazing as the person you are inside. :) I also know the issues you have been going through, and again, if you ever ever ever need anything, I'm a PM away man. Anything for you. *hugs* :D

I remember that my granma used to make fruit pizza from leftover dough (we made it at home) and now, i cannot stand anything sweet on it :P

I always wondered who is the absolute oldest member who posts regularly we have on GAF. I always see so many young faces, but never think I've seen someone much older than 40 in the avatars.

I know we have someone who is like 56 who posts a lot, and some of the more senior members of the game development community pass by occasionally. But I mean someone who posts on GAF regularly... anyone have any clue?

That would actually be cool to know as well... I'm only 22 so I know there's a lot here younger than me, but who's the senior who has the knowledge to everything.

I need to know!!

oh god, i will be 30 this year ... damn, feeling old & stuck in the vice life-wise (bad job, living at parents, etc. )

Don't worry, man. The 30s are where you actually realize what the hell you're doing. Well, at least 80% of it. Just figure out what you really want to be doing, make a plan for how to get there, then take things a step at a time so it's not so overwhelming.

i just wiki it......NOPE I will not look at pics

I think we have to have some 45-50 people on here. Considering this is an industry forum. A lot of the people in this industry grew up with games. And so they would be later 30s, and 40s. I always assumed the majority of GAF was older. So I always felt young at 26.

But I'm starting to notice more and more people in their early 20s. So that's great. It's cool to have that diverse age range. Plus, it helps being able to relate to people your age, that grew up with the same games. But I actually love talking to older gamers too. To get their perspective on things they grew up with. Because a lot of the things they played, I also eventually played. So it's interesting to get that take on it.

First someone says they don't want to be banned again, now this? What's the Hawaiian pizza story? Is it the choice pizza of mods everywhere or something?

it was an interesting month.

well, now that thats settled, there are 2 topics which we will never EVER return to

We will not speak of the Great Anti-Pineapple Pizza Banning of January 2014.
This story sounds familiar.

Yeah, I've started to notice too and it makes me feel old lol. But yeah, it is all very interesting and surprising to actually speak with industry folks who's been in the industry for so long, come on GAF and communicate. To know these guys are in their 50's though, that's amazing!

Hawaiian Pizza is gross. I said it...

Damn milk? I usually go with orange juice if there's no soda lol

Yeah, milk from the fridge. Tried it once and almost threw everything out :P

As for pizza type, i used to love it with tuna, but last summer caught food poisoning and it was from that pizza, so now I like it with salami and sour cream.

Problem is that I know what I want to do, but there are several major factors (situation in my field of work and at home+financial problems) that are holding me back. And my mind (not quite as stable) holding me back before I take that decisive step ahead and finally go (abroad) looking for brighter future.

I'm actually a pizza purist I guess. i even like it with nothing on it (it's like a large piece of crust and everyone knows the crust is the best part anyway)
