Mid 20s here (oh god, when did that happen ;_;) and the same has happened to me in the past. I'm used to it by now and I get it. I'd probably just ignore me if I could too.

You'll make it one day <3

All in due time :p I seriously doubt that's your lifelong outlook. Take your time, but remember, we all deserve someone in our lives that make us happy.

That is absolutely my lifelong outlook and I'm happy with it.

Curious question, if a guy treats you nice do you perhaps think they might be a hidden agenda?

Guys don't treat me nicely IRL except in professional environments. How does a guy treat a woman nicely? I don't know how that works.

Wow... How about liking you for you? A guy who enjoys the opportunity to see you solely to see your smile. Or that genuinely wants to hear about your day and help you to decompress? That spontaneously does sweet things for you? These things exist in men, I promise you :(

I would like to respond but I can't tell if your mocking me lol ;P
seriously though can't tell

Not really.

Not for me! It's probably nice for other ladies though :D I'm happy other women get to experience that. :)

But seriously though, I will never date and I'm good with it. I enjoy being the eccentric sister/daughter/etc.

you know I can't say that bro, not where I'm from >:)

GAF is mostly guys, how do you feel you are treated here?

I don't think any woman has ever looked upon me as dating material, but as a person, I think they treat me fine. I definitely felt invisible sometimes at parties in college though.

Online men are nice :) I never claimed they weren't. I guess it's easy to be nice to me when you don't have to meet me in person :D

Not really.

To me being nice to a lady or a guy it all comes down to putting yourself in their position. By that I mean treat others how would you like to be treated. For instance: would you like your mom to be treated the way just treated this girl like garbage? Of course not but yet while saying all those horrible stuff you don't stop to think that. Plus I treat people the way I would to be treated it's a simple concept that goes along way. Professional setting or not I will treat you the same with the respect, kindness a person deserves.

Granted idk what kind hardships you might have gone thru so easy for me to say what I think without taking into account your history which is extremely important . So it's a complex issue but at least that's what I define what being nice is.

Way past high school, I still got friends that act like high schoolers and get cut for stupid reasons. How would you guys deal with this shit?

I'm about to say something at the risk of sounding idiotic. If I knew you in person, I'd probably be more drawn to you knowing that you were the "unobtainable" one.

True, she texted me out of the blue and told me that she wanted to meet up and talk and she said also " no matter the outcome of our convo I value our friendship more than anything" I even put the ball in her court saying if she prefers telling via text although the message will be cheapen this way or in person. She said in person which I don't mind plus I feel she deserves the right to know face to face instead of a cop out text.

That's nice of you. It's better to deal in person because it comes out clean cut and dry without any opportunity to twist words via text. At least she will still value the overall relationship as good. I think this will be pretty easy for you...

Not gonna lie, that text she sent you is pretty scary.

Oh god, that was a joke. I mean, I did it to someone when I was 19, but I was absolutely not trying to preserve a friendship; she was clinging and not making a move and I was not interested.

I find it to be a easy way out but it's also very familiar now, or should I say, more casual. I don't know if this is just a generational thing but a lot of people I know now refer to their like Bffl as a Sis or Bro and usually, that is a red flag (Because it actually means Friend with benefits depending on where you're from) but in general, it's just the new line to sort of keep the friendship. If you don't want to? Yeah, cut that one off.

We're talking about how the Steelers are going to lose so bad

Yeah, no but you can keep trying it :X lol!

Tell them to see a professional? You can help them by listening, but if their issues are routed in something like clinical depression there is only so much you can do. That's what I think anyway.

Dump 'em. Get new friends.

Could be. I'm old. To me, "sis" and "bro" are pretty casual terms; telling someone that they're like a sibling to you is usually pretty serious.

Good. :) I'm glad you're a good person.

Haha, I can assure you, you wouldn't be. Don't worry about it, though!

Can you elaborate? They cut themselves? Not sure I understand the question.

Must be an Australian thing I guess. Ahh like, when you're angry at someone and ignore them, it's what we call when someone's cut at you.

The situation is, couldn't get in contact with said friend on NYE and now he's all acting weird and doesn't want to hang around. I was with my other friends and where I was reception was shit. Doesn't even give proper reason why he is though.

Dump 'em. Get new friends.
That'd be kind of dumb to just drop someone for something simple when we've been friends for a long time.

I'd advise that you branch out and meet new people. You don't have to cut anyone off per se, but don't pursue their company if they're being flakes.

Let them call you. Don't waste your time dealing with something so immature. If they want to hang out with you... Cool. If they act out, then just don't bother with them since it's a pretty bad thing for your future friendship.

oh this is so cool! :D

Excellent.

I don't know how I missed this. That's really fuckin rad! I dig your voice bro.

Haha, aw thanks y'all. I was cracking myself up.
I heard the combined mix, sounds good, though my vocals would probably need to be re-recorded because it doesn't sit well in the mix with the other instruments in there.

p.s. I wish there was an easier way to multi-quote several people other than copypasta.

Dude, I showed my dad and he thought I was showing him a Cream bootleg lol. Guess you sound like Jack Bruce.

I always wonder if lost is better if you marathon it. People always told me the ending to Battlestar Galactica was terrible, but I ended up enjoying it because my expectations of the finale were so low.
