Really wanna see it again. I mean, it was really entertaining, I just felt so distracted by how it was made I don't know if I missed anything on a story level. It hasn't hit me like it's hit a lot of people despite the fact I really enjoyed it.

I think narrowing its scope would have helped, as weird as that sounds because it's so intimate. Like
the scene with Norton and Stone kissing has no consequences whatsoever for the rest of the film; seeing only Keaton's interactions with the other characters or having him be present at least (so you can get those few really funny scenes between Watts and Norton)
Birdman was great. Really brought my hopes back up on Iñarritu not being just a
self absorbed cunt who was still riding his Amores Perros fame and tricks, and who is actually still growing as a filmmaker like we all expected him to.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Like I say, I thought it was only okay but if nothing else it was a funny enough showcase for some really good actors. Boyhood is probably my favourite of the Oscar contender movies I've seen.

I would say it's like Half Life 2 in the type of SP shooter it is except with not quite as good level/scenario design (but still good) and much better action mechanics and shooting. Before you chastise me for invoking Half Life 2 I played Half Life 2 last week to confirm the comparison.
