Dude, it's "been said" . You can't refute that.

It gives a sharper image, especially with CRTs that support S-Video. It's also a super quality cable and pretty much wont ever break unless you tried to ruin it. I'm not an expert exactly but I think it just sends the data in a "cleaner" sense. I can see a difference but it's not night and day persay, just slightly sharper.
