I asked the same a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it seems that the best deals have stopped now. So either get a black one or just get a game you're not interested in and trade it in or sell it towards a game you do want.

Somebody else would simply take GAME's place in the market if they stopped trading and would charge £50. They've actually become better with their pricing since going into administration.

how does this Rakuten work? i went to their site and searched for Captain Toad, and it came up with £ 30.95 for it at Thegamecollection, meanwhile if i go to TGC's own site, there it shows £ 28.95, so what's the deal?

They are selling imports from Australia. Bayonetta may not be an import, but you never know. Their "customer service" ignores you as soon as they got your money. And this "customer service" weasels around in case you ask if they are selling imports.

In some strange cases zavvi for example sold items cheaper in their ebay store than in their own store. I have no idea how that makes sense.

It´s a market place, just like Amazon UK market place.
And yes, there are some store who also sell through Rakuten, the same thing happens on Amazon UK market place:
e.g.:

Prices can differ on the different platforms. They probably have some agreement with the platform holders about that?
I think this is going to be the strategy from now on. Looks like post-Christmas sales are dead because other than clothes and furniture, there's no good sales on anything right now.
Unless there's an official price cut or a store looking for attention, I wouldn't expect anything major any time soon. From what I've heard, Sony were aggressively subsidising The Last of Us and the limited time pack-in bundles to encourage the deals.

Don't know how it is in other parts of Yurop but here in germany, Easter is slowly going the christmas gifts route. Some families gift their kids stuff like it's their birthday/christmas. Retail is ramping up the marketing every year and tries to suggest the people that they should buy expensive stuff.
Times of gifting chocolate and searching eggs are slowly over. Now the kids need a new bike or a new android phone.
The latest i'm going to wait for a PS4 is till the release of Bloodborne. Souls games are the only ones i even bothered to platinum so i want to be there from the start.

I believe they cancel it, possibly without even telling you. The only thing that do give is for popular items a heads up when they'll be taking payment earlier.
I seem to recall the SKU situation for Bayonetta 2 being different in Australia but it would be advised to read-up on that.

I surely wouldn't risk it. They screwed me over twice. One time I got lucky and Nintendo sent me a new Club Nintendo code for Europe. The second time they didn't.
Just look at their other items. Their "365" logo is placed in a way to cover up the age rating (which would show you if it's a European copy). For the Bayonetta bundle this didn't work though. I guess it's an automated process. They surely won't replace an import copy with an European one.

This is a great price and I really would not hang around waiting.
Like with most Wii U games, there will be a limited print run, and I can see this game holding it's value for some time. Like with Wind Waker HD and Pikmin, in 6-12 months, these could sell for a fair amount in the second hand market.
Hng, think it's going to be $50 on the US PSN anyway, so I should get this....

You usually get the code if you fill out a survey for the game in your Club Nintendo account. You need to have linked your NNID and Club Nintendo account before buying the game though.

The problem is that there isn't any Club Nintendo in my country where the promotion runs (Denmark), so I don't have access to any of those. The registration site says that the code should be on the eShop receipt under account activity in eShop, but I only see a transaction ID number there. I tried emailing them earlier today, but it's evening now and the promotion will probably end before I get a reply. ~_ ~
