That blue car on the cover got announced today. The game itself is no surprise, but the time of the announcement is. Why now ? Should we expect any relation to the event of January 21st ?
It'll be interesting to see if they expand on the next-generation open world game play of Forza Horizon 2 or if they revert back to last-generation gameplay (and outdated) with corridor racing like Driveclub.

FM will always be a circuit racer, Horizon will always be the open world, arcade racer. They are each developed by 2 separate companies, who share tech, but that's it.
Circuit racing is not last gen or next gen, neither is open world design.

Uhm, Horizon 2 does have impulsive triggers. Two different series, but...
Let impulse triggers return to FM6 please. Missing it in Horizon 2.
Should have included /s...
Why not go the whole hog and buy a used XB1 and preowned Forza titles? You won't even appear on MS' radar![]()
Why not?
Do you remember forza 2 vs 3? It was a complete graphical upgrade. I think there might be a team renewing the graphical engine every 4-6 years. Isn't turn 10 a Big studio?
I think we should have a city driver (forza gotham) (playground) alternanting between the other 2 and have a 3 year launch window instead of 2.
Lol. Yeah they had a good reasonOh thanks. At least it makes sense (assuming they have a reason to announce a car nowBut I'm even more clueless about car announcements )

doesn't the cover confirm at-least night races?

How could you call the game a free-to-play when everything on disk could be gotten without spending a dime?
1 Buy an XB1
2 Only buy Forza games
3 Help drive down the systems attach rate
4 ???????
5 Profit
Thanks. I think Forza would benefit more from Blur style game than a Rally style of F1 personally.
I dont think we played the same game man.
All tracks were unlocked at the get go.
All cars were unlocked at the get go.
Rental Cars were patched pretty quickly.
Prices and earnings were patched as well.
Having the CR price and a token price right underneath it.....didnt/doesnt feel like "IN YOUR FACE OBTRUSIVE"
How could you call the game a free-to-play when everything on disk could be gotten without spending a dime?
Did it take a long time initially to get the most expensive car in the game, yeah, gamers complained the game was patched quickly......so why are we still talking about the economy?
Whats peoples beef with Microtransactions if they arent anywhere near mandatory and definitately arent intrusive, its a line of text under the price of the car....how is that so intrusive as to insult the whole game and call it a free to play.
Did you really play Forza Motorsport 5 or are you just basing your opinions off second hand accounts?
I'm not calling forza 5 a f2p title, but that sentence could be used to describe pretty much any decent free to play game.

More than half of the people that completed Candy Crush did so without spending a penny.F2P games almost always have content hidden/locked behind a money wall.
Forza Motorsport has no such barrier......everything on disk can be unlocked using in game credits.
If say car X could only be bought using Tokens, then i would be flipping out at the microtransactions as well.
Main wish list for FM6 :
- Dynamic time of day
- Revamped career with PGR4-like calendar and Horizon 2's lack of focus on absolutely getting gold in all races to win a championship. So much could be done there
- More customisation (wide bodykit, changing/removing/obscuring lights, OEM rims, etc...)
- Real brands on tire sidewall !
- Return of many tracks in their laser scanned glory (Maple Valley, Suzuka, Infineon, etc...)
- More cars obviously
- Weather if possible
This a Motorsport title, it will be all about real and fictional racetracks !

Personally I like to see something along the lines of forza "professional".
By that I mean a version where they scrap road cars entirely and have all of the professional racing championships with authentic race weekends, rules etc. So they could include all of the following (licenses permitting):
Le Mans
F1
BTCC
WTCC
DTM
Indy cars
NASCAR
World endurance championship
Blancpain Series
Australian GT
Super GT Japan
Etc etc.
Just started playing Tales of Xillia 2 that game also has a coin doubler, ability to buy levels with money, ability to buy weapons with real money, etc. Just because the option is there doesn't mean that it's bad by definition. In both games you can easily complete it without ever spending dime or grinding an insane amount unlike your average F2P game.More than half of the people that completed Candy Crush did so without spending a penny.
I dunno. The Forza games aren't full on micro-transaction hell, but they're certainly aggresively monetised. Hell, they sell a coin doubler for F5 and FH2, so you know something's not quite right.
The keyword was "decent". There are free to play games where you can unlock everything without spending a penny. I know some devs take the piss and put pay walls in their games. I won't play them. .
Glad they announced this. Hopefully it has day and night cycle.
I expect MS will ask them to double the amount of microtransaction bullshit
A year in and Microsoft already announcing an xbox one sequel :/

All Forza fans knew it was coming but I'm glad that we got confirmation this soon. I was actually talking with a colleague yesterday about wanting to try the GT in Forza asap. Looks like my wish has been fulfilled.

I want this FM6 to be massive. I want it to be to FM5 what FM3 was to FM2, what GT4 was to GT3, what PGR2 was to PGR, etc...
Was Forza always a yearly thing? Serious question.

I agree. I'm not saying it is F2P (for a start, it ain't free!), I'm just saying it is aggressively monetised. Goes above and beyond the season pass model.Just started playing Tales of Xillia 2 that game also has a coin doubler, ability to buy levels with money, ability to buy weapons with real money, etc. Just because the option is there doesn't mean that it's bad by definition. Calling FM5 a F2P game is a bit hyperbolic.
You mean the entire advertising campaign and live game play demos?... come on nowOne time... with a launch game... that still hit 1080/60... and this is really a thing? Come on now.
As everyone is shocked at this news, they will be even more shocked as I announce Forza 7 in 2017.
