You haven't played enough games then.
The IQ is certainly good, but there's very prominent aliasing on everything from car edges to fences to foliage. It's less noticeable in motion.
Good thing then that cars usually move...

You had the same thought I did probably. I saw "Japan" and thought I was about to watch an epic city (or city/scenic) race.
I hope they've tuned the ridiculously hard A.I. - it's the only thing ruining the enjoyment of the game for me. I wish the campaign had different difficulty modes.
I'm trying my hardest to hate and dislike this damn game but this looks very nice.
https://twitter.com/PhenomEvolution/status/555461611696431104@Makikozu72 Wider tracks has been a popular request, so we've taken it on board for this track + others coming in Japan![]()
Why? :/I'm trying my hardest to hate and dislike this damn game
Did they magically fixed the aliasing problems?
I personally haven't noticed any juddering.
It's completely smooth. 30fps done right.
Looks nice. And yeah, not all the local roads around that area are that wide, but I've seen plenty of toll roads and highways close to that size in the area. Bridges look relatively authentic. Tunnels look good. I'll have to watch it again when I get home to see any details like retaining wall bricks and etc. The stone road section is interesting, can't say that i've ever seen that in that area of Japan, might exist, or it might just be a nod to the general region, which does have some old feudal era stone roads (but as far as I know, you can't drive on them).
I noticed, even on my phone, that the edges of the roadway are great. Very organic, some dirt overspill and etc.
Honestly, I really do hope we get an urban track in Japan, but not necessarily Tokyo.
Maybe Osaka around Dotonbori, or something. Also, a rural village route would be cool, maybe around Miyama...fingers crossed!
Awesome. I hope this gets a PSN sale soon in the U.S.
2Video is torture for people who prefer cockpit view
Great input. Thanks.
Sure the "tracks" are not 100% accurate (of course it's a game) but it's great to read gaffers around the world like you commenting about it. I think I read a post like yours about Scotland??
Please give us a replay mode!

When did they add the two corvette's? Seeing cars from other manufactures other than European manufactures has regained my interest.
Why? Isn't it more challenging without the replay mode...thus more fun?
I've never used the replay mode on FH2, it feels like cheating in a way...at least for me.

Sugoi desu ne~!
Why would anyone make a conscious effort to hate a game?
Weird.
Why? :/
If the Tour is frustrating you why not just make your own single events? You can adjust the opponent AI there.Well, it's more that I really don't like the basics of the game and it's really not my kind of racing game. I want to not try to like it over and over.
Yeah, I have a weird relationship with it. And when they hopefully patch in some kind of difficulty slider for AI and penalties I can start really liking it.

Another Mountain track? they should make a City track in Tokyo!
Basically me. I returned Driveclub because I got bored and it didn't work. But Corvettes and Japanese race tracks... Two of my ultimate weaknesses combined. I still can play the game even without a license. I just can never re-download it. Maybe I should just for the season pass and commit myself like I did Bloodborne.
I'm in the US, I just have family in Japan, and our family burial site is on the slope of Fujiyama (near Fuji raceway, coincidentally), so I've driven/been driven around the area a bit.
