im gonna go out on a limb and say most of the people in this thread who pre ordered BOTH this and the skull kid figure edition probably wont be boycotting anything
its almost like this is all a test by NOA to see how many real hardcore nintendo fans there are in the US

Not including a charger with the 3ds is actually part of the reason I went with a 2DS. Didn't have my old chargers and having to pay extra for a charger just put me off the 3ds XL especially when I didn't care much for 3d to begin with.
It's amazing how they get away with it and the worst part is they don't even advertise it apart from small print on the box "does not include charger".

In a distant future you'll just buy the shell and have to buy the GPU/CPU boards separately.

I can agree with this. I preordered the A Link Between Worlds one from Gamestop before it came out (which is a decision I'm happy with, to this day). But later I realized that it was almost widely available everywhere... if I recall correctly, at one point even Nintendo themselves were selling refurbished ALBW 3DS XLs.
But then again, that was before scalpers got a tight hold of the Nintendo scene. I'm seeing these MM XLs going for $500+ on eBay. I don't need this that badly in my life.

Yeah, and that's actually a problem for some people that want to get the Monster Hunter 4 N3DS, but also want to get the stuff that comes in the separate Collector's Edition release. They will basically be forced to sell their physical copy, or live with double-dipping.

I think it is outrageous to charge $200 and expect you to pay for a $20 on top of that.
That being said I am part of the problem because the MM new 3DS XL I am buying it.

I just updated the title to note that this isn't a bundle. This is just a limited edition variant of the base console itself. It costs the same as the regular editions. This isn't advertised as a bundle.

All we get in other regions is the price of a retail copy of the game tacked on top of the n3DS cost. You're not losing anything compared to anywhere else by buying the console and game seperately...

I really don't have a dog in this fight, but you should probably understand that this isn't a very strong counterargument. The very fact that you'd have to buy this as an additional accessory is what's being argued as being anti-consumer. It's not as though the person you're responding to was accusing Nintendo of selling you a $200 paperweight because adapters are not sold separately.
or they could just pack it in? It probably costs them nothing. They sell it for $5 which means they probably make a $4.50 profit off of it.
Guys make it sound like if they include a charger the price has to go from $200 to $220.

I don't get all the whining about the adapter at all. You can buy them separately. People who upgrade already have an adapter. I even got 2 of them.

Just came from gamestop, theyre all sold out of preorders in my area. Wtf its been hours
the Monster Hunter LE has the game with it.. even the Year of Luigi had a digital download I believe..

The Monster Hunter LE also costs $30 more. I'm not saying that there haven't been special edition bundles, just that they've released non-bundle special editions as well. The most recent Smash limited edition 3DS in NA released 2 weeks before Smash came out and did not include the game. There have been other limited editions that were similar.
The Nintendo 3DS line is already confusing enough, this just adds to it. It is a valid complaint.
Fair enough. I still think it's silly to not include pack it in.
