EDIT: Well I used the 4U2Play option, paid with paypal and the money is already gone ...>_< I thought they'd wait till they actually knew they'd have the stock to fulfill all preorders.

While there might always be a better deal around the corner, it's worth keeping in mind we're entering period where console prices will stay relatively solid. We're unlikely to see the kinds of prices or bundling we saw in the run up to Christmas in the next few weeks/months unless stores need to get rid of stock...

Just to be clear - I can register both my existing UK and US accounts as both being on the same 'home' system yeah? So my UK account could still play everything purchased on my US account? Highly tempted to go US digital for most games since you have to install them anyway and I don't tend to trade/sell games once I'm done with them

One last question - anyone know if the HDMI cable that comes in the PS4 box is 1.2 so I can play my 3D Blu Rays with no problems?

Yes , I have 3 accounts set as 'home' on my PS4 , my normal UK account , my US account and a Japanese account - anything digital for any account can be played on the others with no issue
 
Bollocks. Shouldn't have hesitated on that Tesco PS4 with Driveclub as it's sold out now :/ I can get one for £279 with no games from Simplygames but I'm guessing I'd pay at least £20 for Driveclub so it's not quite as good a deal. Guess it just wasn't meant to be. My wallet will be thankful!

If anything similar comes up again in this thread I won't hesitate next time though!

Did anyone get any confirmation a while back whether GAME's Majora's Mask CEs will come with the paperweight or whether that's just the standard edition?

Fucking GameStop and their retail prices, €69 is legalized robbery!

But I figure if I decide to sell later I won't be out of more than 5 or 10 euros?

if you decide to sell it, you should sell it at whatever price people are willing to pay for it.

it's not like you are preordering 20 copies and making a business out of it.

it's your one copy.

scalping is a whole different thing. you know cars loaded with wiis, ps4s and amiibos to resell at double the price.

Since the game no longer has a monthly subscription, you can now basically get the whole game (minus expansions) for life (or more realistically, for as long as they keep the servers up) for less than what one month of subscription used to cost. I'm currently doing a trial month, the game seems pretty cool and different for an MMO.

i barely could set my pre-order at saturn.de

i wanted the n3dsxl majoras mask, couldnt order it anywhere. what the fuck. also the fact, that there is no n3ds(normal size) as a limited edition.
damn, iam going to spend shit tons of money in february just for the sake of nintendo and my addition for videogames.

btw. the link between worlds limited edition, was this ever available in germany? i stumbled upon that one yesterday and was baffled because i never heard of it.

I never saw it in stores but I don't think it wasn't available here in Germany.

Everything is available here but many things only online and in limited supplies.

I never once saw Hyrule Warriors Limited edition anywhere and it definitely came out here. it's going for over 100 euro in amazon.

You can do this to get it for £43 from Shopto, or £42 from LoveGaming. I've not heard of the latter so I'd probably pay the extra pound in the knowledge that Shopto are really good at delivering on or before launch date.

There was also a £10 off code with Tesco when you spend £50 on a new account, and I can't for the life of me find the code. The game is £49 with them, so you could add this to get it up to £50 and then knock the price of the game down to £40. In fact, I think I might go and do this now for store pick up on release date. EDIT - that code is TDX-YGPK, although I don't know if it's still active. EDIT 2 - this code is no longer active it seems.
 
Any good deals on Layton and the Azran Legacy on 3DS? Most Layton games have gone really cheap after being out over a year, but this one is going up if anything. Did it go OOP?
 
Where's the best place to get the 2000 Vita in Lime Green, was pricing up one place and came out at about £165 with duty/postage. Seemed high, unless i'm wrong in my thinking.

Unless someone finds misplaced stock, best you could hope for would be an eShop deal.
 
It was £30 for a little while on Amazon last week on backorder, still hasn't been shipped or anything though.

Actually is there anywhere with the Hori WiiU Gamecube Luigi controllers for around £20? I've had 2 on order with Amazon for ages (one from back in October) and they're still nowhere in sight. Amazon normally aren't like this (they'll at least update you at least) but it's getting kind of ridiculous now.

It's back up to £40 direct from Amazon now.

Amazon have progressively gotten worse for me over the year culiminating with that huge Gamecube adaptor fuck up.

Funny that you say that! I spotted it for £30 exactly in a local Sainsburys at the weekend, so that'd be your best bet.

Problem of customers who order tons of them only to resell them on eBay. I bought 2,sold the other one because a friend of mine got his adapter earlier than expected. The other one is used by me. EBay prices went batshit, these days people are sitting 50euros only for the adapter. Huge fuck up by Nintendo. Same to majoras mask, which is nowhere to available for preorder. What a bummer.

I ended up getting 2 from panic buying elsewhere on the launch day, thankfully. My Amazon order ended up being cancelled without an email.

But Persona Q missed release date and Mario Kart 8, despite having Prime at the time, was over a week late.

Ignoring my last post, I have another idea. New Rakuten.co.uk accounts get £5 worth in superpoints (within five days of the account opening), and you also get £10 off a £40 spend with one merchant using the code JANGIFT10. The Order is listed on there twice for £52 and £53, but using these codes you should be able to get £15 off and make it £37 or £38. I've just created a new account, so I'll see when my £5 worth of points arrive and report back.
