And just because it's a JRPG doesn't mean that it'll sell better in Japan. I reckon Xenoblade X will sell better in the West, to be honest.

Yea they definitely turned everything up a notch in terms of depth. The inclusion of mech combat alone plus more emphasis put on positioning and locations and even attacking specific limbs!

I've always seen JRPG's doing well on both Nintendo and Sony platforms while JRPG's do nothing at all for Xbox. Even if Nintendo gets a bit lower sales in comparison to a Playstation version, both companies still have the lions share of the market.

They're way too small to see actual detail in it. I prefer what Xenoblade had. I guess it's a lot more difficult to show tension or something because the MC is customizable. Maybe mechs will have a different character portrait.

If I was a big JRPG fan I'd buy a wiiU for XCX. The console will probably be 250 by the time XCX comes to the west, and it's not like there are a ton of other next-gen JRPGs to choose from.

It won't sell 5 million copies, but I can see XCX doing okay. Bravely Default is probably over a million worldwide, the market is clearly there.

You precisely used "mid-budget JRPG" implying the franchise as a whole had the same treatment for every entry whether it was mothership, which are not really mid-budget, or escort title, which tend to be low budget, I should have said so in my earlier post though, sorry for the confusion.

But spin-off/port/remakes are non factor when it comes to sales and to know where the next mothership titles are going to be, which was why I found that odd to even consider/mention those titles.

Could honestly care less if the comments are positive or not, as long as they are more than just drive by bashing and have some form of relevancy. If all you care to do is compare this game with other games, then make a thread specifically for that, not shit up every single Xenoblade thread because you don't agree with people liking how the game looks.
