Could anyone give a summary of what's going on right now? Mainly if Lucina is up for preorder yet and if I'll still be able to go to target February 1st for Rosalina?
Everything is still a clusterfuck.
Rosalina is MIA in Canada due to the whole Target ordeal.
Amazon.com has just started de-listing most Amiibo for some reason.
Mega Man and Sonic are up in .fr
Shortages all around.
I haven't seen Wave 4 or the Super Mario Bros series up anywhere, except for amazon.co.jp

I think I'm going to take the 1st off from work since I work Sundays. It's risky considering the inconsistent releases and the fact I have to drive 50 miles to my nearest Target, but I'm capping out on my vacation hours and I need any excuse to take a day off.
Would be hilarious if Amazon cut out scalpers. It would only just funnel them over to ebay though. Wouldn't really stop it.
Well I mean it looks like they are. They aren't just removing their own listings, they're also removing the listings created by 3rd parties.

So that must mean, it has nothing to do with Wave 4 Pre-orders. Why do they remove the page all together? Why can't they just like, block third party sellers? What I mean is, why do they need to remove like Kirby from the page all together? Also what happens Amazon gets more of him in stock? Do they just add Kirby back?
EDIT: I know you are right. Other sellers on Amazon have said that this is what happens when they start blocking third party sellers. Just kind of confused why they are removing every single amiibo (even the widely available ones). And then, how do they put them back?

Well not all, but at least some it looks like. There are those on reddit therorizing that Amazon is just going to regroup the amiibos to fall undet the "Smash" collection now that Nintendo has started the "Super Mario" collection. It's all just guessing at this point but I hope thats right. If Amazon bails out of amiibos, I'm done.

All of this Villager talk reminds me of when I picked up all of my Wave 1 amiibos.
I pre-ordered all 12 of them from a local shop. I went and picked them up and when I took the box out to my car and counted them, I counted 13. I eventually noticed that they had given me two Villagers, so I went back in and gave the extra Villager back.
If anyone remembers before Wave 1 even came out, Amazon stopped pre-orders on Villager, Marth, and WFT first... so I knew I had an extra of one of the "rare" ones. Part of me wishes I would have kept it, but hopefully someone that really wanted him ended up with it.

I've already got mine preordered, but its already saying out of stock right now. All I'm seeing is the "get in stock alert."

As a side note, I had a talk with my GF last night. We both agreed that, we aren't going to obsess over collecting every amiibo. Yes, we would love to get every smash Amiibo. And we will try to do that (for our display) in our house. BUT...we aren't going to really think about it, or worry anymore. I'm also going to let her do the collecting more. So I'm not stressed about it.
I'm going to 100% focus on the community. Helping people get Amiibos they need. And running the Google Doc/Avatars and other things. Because, it makes me so happy to be here with my friends. And this community makes me happy. So I'm just finding a better balance to all of this. My GF doesn't ever get stressed. And since she's not going through PTSD/remission like I am, she's not as emotional/sensitive as I am at this time.
So this works out better. Sorry again for any trouble I've caused. I'll try my best to not have my issues ever spill out again into this thread.
Dude, this community transcends amiibo. You got problems and need a place to vent or spill or share or talk? This is the place. No need to ever worry. We'll do all we can to help out, even if it is just listen.
There's nothing to apologize for, man. You've been so helpful and nice to everyone here, I think you've earned to right to blow off some steam as well.

I think that's usually the joke now. When I use RIP here, most of the time I go for 'RIPIP in peace' so that people know it's intentional. I do find myself messing up with PIN number when speaking aloud though...Hate to be that guy but, the IP in RIP stands for "in peace".

This was only my second amiibo after Fox, but I'm really happy I picked up Zelda yesterday. She looks really good actually. I wish amiibos weren't so hard to find, because I'd really like to pick up a few more. They look fantastic on my shelf next to my games.

I got a Yoshi and Link ordered from Best Buy yesterday. I have bought all of mine from them or Amazon. I may go out and try and get the TRU and Target exclusives on release but I'm spending way too much time checking availability. Just not going to stress over them anymore. It kinda takes all the fun out of it anyway.
I never thought that these would be this hard to buy. It's just crazy that with the holiday and all that they are so under produced. IDK, maybe they aren't and it's just become the "hot" thing for scalpers to buy up so it just seems that way. I had to run a errand this morning so I thought I would stop by TRU and there were like 6 guys waiting outside the door as they opened. 4 of them power walked straight to the amiibo section. I looked through the Lego section and then headed back to the games. I had to try really hard to not laugh at them standing there in front of a half empty section of Marios and Kirbys. I always thought it was funny back when I worked there in 97-00 all these grown men running to the Hot Wheels and Pokemon Cards. It was especially nice to toss them oout cause they would shove kids out of the way during the summer.

It's just, it's kind of embarrassing to put your issues on others. Like, when you are struggling through emotional issues, you don't want other people to have to deal with that. You don't want your issues to impact your friends negatively.
But I promise if I need someone to talk to, I will talk to you guys. You are the only friends I have. Outside of my GF, you guys are basically my family (since my real family abandoned me). I guess I just mean, I'll try to not let my frustration spill out in the thread. Like, not getting Rosalina wasn't really about NOT getting Rosalina. It was more like, I felt frustrated like anyone else. But then it was amplified x1000 because I'm already struggling day to day having to deal with my remission/PTSD. But I don't want you guys to have to feel bad, because I'm being frustrated and taking that out in the thread.
Like I said, I'll talk to you guys if I need it. Just trying to find a better balance with myself, and keep things in check.
It's insane that, even pre-orders sell out in under 5 min. And if you don't get a pre-order, you might be fucked and NEVER get it. This idea that, you have to be tied to your computer using notifications, and have to get your pre-order in within 5 min from when it went up on some of these Amiibos.
THAT IS INSANE. Absolutely insane. Something doesn't seem right here.
Either these are severely under-supplied. Or Scalpers are out in full force. It's prob a mix of both. But damn.
