I hit a few Amiibo-selling stores around my city in Northeast Ohio just to check. Commons, commons everywhere. I'm posting photos of my findings here in case anyone wants to see an empirical snapshot of what retail looks like these days.
Target's anemic section ... the Amiibo display was so bright that my cameraphone used it to set the lighting, heh:
Next we've got Best Buy ... first store I've seen that has NO Marios whatsoever:
Lastly I hit up Toys R Us ... a solid wall of Amiibos and not one of them was interesting:
I didn't go to the nearby GameStop because I didn't want to be harassed by the shopkeeps. And the Walmart here is on the other side of town, so I didn't feel like going out there.

There is one POP I want. If you can guess it, I will buy it. 100%, no lie. Unless she's hard to get, then too bad. I've been on the fence with her for a while. I really like this character.

SO I wake up, Amazon has All their amiibos but Fox, Kirby, Shiek and Toon Link, and i see a "marth alert" that eneded up being a false alarm.

I bought that Link figure a few weeks ago. I finally decided to assemble him into a pose yesterday, took me freaking ages! He's so fiddly, and there are so many tiny, annoying parts. I can't see myself changing his pose anytime soon. I'm glad I bought him though, he looks cool standing on my shelf.

How are you enjoying it? I just started a few months ago (part-time teaching at a care center) and it's very difficult, but rewarding. I tell the higher functioning ones about my figures and they want to see them, but I just don't feel comfortable with them around my Nendos. Too many small parts, and they're very fragile.

I was on the page when it came back in stock and still wasn't able to get one so don't go too hard on yourself. I've been trying to get one since release. I think it's the sellers snagging them with scripts just to resell them for $70-$100
Amazingly cute. I don't mind Hatsune Miku. I mean, I lived in Japan. I'm okay with kawaii culture. I just think the shape of POP's face and the black souless beady eyes on her, made it creepy.

I don't get why all these other outlets are shipping things already. Whereas all the retail stores are saying Feb 1st. Hah, I really picked the WRONG way to pre-order Wave 3. Damnit. I used gamestop.com and set it to in store pick up. $10 says I go Feb 1st, and they don't even have half of my shit.
Wah wah wah. Meanwhile, everyone else that ordered online from other places, already getting their stuff shipped out. I can take solace, in knowing my Rosalina will be here tomorrow (but that was because Jason on GAF hooked me up). If it wasn't for him, I would be SOL. Totally botched Wave 3 lmao

Been doing it for 24 years now. The clients are great, though the can be challenging at times. The only difficulties are the politics of it all. The non disabled can be far more challenging then then ones that are.
One of my clients is a HUGE comic book fan. Been pimping out his room lately with some higher end 1/6th scale figures, some detolf displays, and carding and sleeving his 2000+ comics.

Actually its an order placed directly from there warehouse.
Just ask the CS rep it worked like a charm for me and my friends only a few days ago.

You would think that right? But then you keep hearing about people getting their Wave 3 stuff already sent to them. Nothing is consistent here. I placed an order with Nin-nin games 3 weeks ago. They claim it wont ship till Feb 12th (even though the JP release is actually next week). Yep, bad luck.
I'm just glad I don't care anymore. The ONE amiibo i wanted desperately was Rosalina, and someone on GAF hooked it up. So now I'm just kind of trying to get what I can. But lol Keep making them wrong moves.

Awesome I figured it was from Avatar. I had momentary debate with myself to ask if that was the case once.
I'd bet money nobody can guess what mine is related too unless your a big history buff or know alot about powerful figures through history or ancient military.(of which I'm none of those things I just thought the name sounded cool when I heard it and I decided to mix it up a bit.)

I actually dug out my old Monster Hunter 3 controller from Wii to play Smash Bros. Not nearly as good as a Gamecube controller but much better than the WiiU gamepad.

I'd absolutely love to if I had a car to go back to Houston. Plus I also need Marth & the rest of the Holy Trinity (mainly Marth). And the car I took to find the Super Target in the first place is in repair. I can try to buy Marth off one guy on campus.
Besides, I need to check if that Super Target has some of the rare Wave 2 Amiibos in the back.
