Kind of random, but what cheap storage options are people using for the Wii U? If I was to get one, I wouldn't really want to spend much so cheaper the better. I don't buy stuff digitally on it very often at all, just 32GB isn't really enough.

It's not recommended but there are a number of GAF members that have used a USB stick. I'm going to get a 64GB Sandisk Ultra Fit (Google it on Amazon) which is around £25 and really small/discreet. If the saves are stored on your USB stick, I would regularly look to back up just in case.

Well I enjoyed KH a lot. For some reason KHII just felt different to me and I enjoyed it a lot less. BBS seems generally praised by most people.
KHII is very well liked in general, its Final Mix even more so, so I'm not sure whether you should listen to other people's opinions. The series never fully returns to how KH1 was, not in gameplay and not in its atmosphere/world design/anything.

And as much as I like the game, BBS has the downside of being a PSP game, which can be kind of jarring for a lot of people who aren't prepared for that.

Could someone clarify about digital soundtrack that comes with collector's edition, limited edition etc. Since it is not on a disc like most collector's/limited/etc edition are. How exactly does it work? Where do you redeem the soundtrack? Is it through PSN? If that is the case, can it be copied to the computer? Is there any form of DRM?
On PS3 the digital soundtracks were kind of weird. Downloading one was kind of like downloading an app. You then booted up that app and that app then installed the soundtrack as MP3s.. Kind of a backwards ass way of doing things, but you could then do anything you wanted with the MP3s.

PS4 does things a bit differently. Not sure if you can listen to them on anything else but a PS4. I haven't downloaded any soundtracks myself (because SCEE sucks when it comes to OSTs on PS4), but I've gotten the impression that it's just the app that you can listen the soundtrack through.

Whilst it's true the platforming part of kh1 is better, kh2 improves in all other aspects, combat, story, atmosphere-world's are bigger and you do more in them . I was also surprised that BBSFM was a psp game whilst playing it. It's combat system is slightly different but it's generally viewed as a great game, it's a prequel so it explains a lot of things.

For the PlayStation®3, can the soundtracks be copied to the computer? And DRM free as well?

Is there an existing collector's/limited/etc edition for PlayStation®4 that has digital soundtrack? Not counting the upcoming games. If there is one, someone will have one and could explain how it work.

It is annoying. It is much better to have it on a disc like most collector's/limited/etc edition. I suppose this is to reduce the cost. It is just like most games nowadays comes with either no manual or with a double sided insert.

Yes. I had at least Heavy Rain & Journey's OSTs on PS3 and once I "installed" or extracted them with the app, they were like any regular DRM free MP3s that you could copy freely onto a memory stick/external HDD/memory card.

I think inFamous Second Son's OST was actually released for free in North America and Killzone: ShadowFall's OST is also available (not sure if free). Not available in Europe at all, AFAIK, so if you're American you could maybe try it out yourself?

make sure to buy a hdd with a y-cable for enough electricity.
i bought my 500gb for 45euros a few years ago using it as a wii hdd and tried to use it as a wii u hdd but iam happy with the 8gb because i only need some space for savegames, nothing else.
i think 500gb is the best option, just in case if you should ever hit the limit of the 8 or 32 gb internal store.

@famatsu: what kind of app is that? i downloaded that street fighter album years ago, its still slumbering on my hdd because i couldnt copy it onto a usb-stick....

Isn't this kind of like a standard bundle for the price? I've seen it so many times.

the last price i saw was the ps4 for 360euros in germany.
considering, that the game costs 30-40euros, the controller 30-40euros and the cam 50 euros, the bundle seems to be quite some catch.

iam not sure if this is the normal price or some kind of deal. either way, some people should be appealed by the sale point.

Well, I'm using 32gb USB stick for the moment until I get something better, but even that still doesn't seem like much, nor would 64gb. Some games are 15gb odd.

I got one of these Toshiba HDTB105EK3AA 500GB, it was £32 (from Amazon) then. From the page there's a link to a newer model.

So is one USB port not enough to power it then on a Wii U? I guess I'd have to buy one separately.

Either way, I probably will go for a 500GB one. Maybe not the one linked since Amazon doesn't seem to be selling even the new one of it. There seems to be a cheap Western Digital one on Amazon, probably won't get it right away, though.

if you have a separate electricity cable (3,5'' hdd have one) it shouldnt be a problem. but 2,5" normally get their electricity via usb. the wii u doesnt ouput enough therefore they dont officially support that. some do still work, but i wouldnt go for that.

Anyone has experience pre-ordering from Game.co.uk? Are they good? Do they dispatch on time and wrap your order properly so it does not get damaged during transit?

Pre-ordered many times with them, despite not always being the cheapest. Usually get the games on teh day of release and are usually very well packaged. Put it this way, I've had a number of pre-orders with them over the past 10 years or so. Not one item has arrived damaged, not one item has arrived late.

Obviously, your postman/courier might be a prick and not treat your package with the care and attention it deserves, of course...

If you don't really have to, avoid them like the plague.

I don't really have to but I noticed that they have an exclusive pre-order bonus in-game item that can only be gotten from them. Retailer specific bonus in-game item. Not collector's edition etc. But on top of it.

What was the bad experience? I take it your order got damaged?

Interesting. One of you for and one of you is against.

It is a shame that Zavvi do not have it. I had good experiences with them. I noticed some people on this thread avoid them specifically.

Amazon UK warehouse deals are currently rife with PS4s and XBones: search the pages, look at the second hand ones, and the cheapest in every category is a Warehouse Deal. These are ex-display or ones where the box was opened, or a pack-in game is missing, something like that. Covered by all usual Amazon guarantees. I just got a White PS4 for £250 missing the pack-in game.

My bank blocks transactions to game.co.uk. I had to explicitly allow a transaction to go through (ordered Bayonetta First Print back then). I was able to order it at amazon.fr, so I cancelled the game.co.uk order a few days later.

game.co.uk charges right before shipping out (and I think they don't use the previous authorization, at least such cases definitely happen). When this fails, you are SOL. They will simply cancel your order and you will get nothing. This combined with my bank blocking transactions means that preordering there is a gamble.

game.co.uk also likes to sell games as new despite them being obviously used. I wouldn't and I actually do not trust them.

So it's just a digital goodie? Well if it's that important to you, order there. For digital stuff, I personally wouldn't risk it.

They pass off opened games as new, been reported to sometimes sell used games as new by users on the forum. Also, sometimes you may get lucky with a free strand of pubic hair.

In terms of pre-ordering, they're fine. The games will be sealed.

After that point, it's a crap shoot if it will be opened or not, so if that bothers you, don't bother.

Yeah but if he is preordering your gonna get a sealed game. Opened games are only the ex display copies that stores send back.

In my experience the packaging was fine, but stopped using them because preorders were showing up on the Friday or even Saturday, whereas with ShopTo it's always the Thursday. Avoid them like the plague for preorders of games that release on a Tuesday though, for some reason the few I ordered either didn't show up or were a week late.

Their online orders have always been really good for me. Prompt delivery, fast to post out, etc. If the price is good I'd strongly recommend them.

regarding the PS4 TLOU bundle,

what exactly did I miss?

I am mainly a single player gamer so lack of a 2nd controller doesn't bother me much but what about the camera? what useful purposes does it have?

Game are absolutely fine for pre orders and recently released games. It's older games which you have a pot luck with them being used or new.

Also, I want to order something from Japan, what post forwarding services do you guys use?

I use http://www.fromjapan.co.jp/ for auction proxy bidding and importing. It's pricey and takes a while for the whole process to run its circle, but it's been fully reliable for me. I live in England so I can vouch for that, but you need to make sure what your import rules are (taxes, restrictions and such) before you engage in doing this.

I'm in England as well so that's good, how much do they charge normally?

There is a calculator on their site. Compared to others it seems they are way cheaper. I know someone, who used buyee for 3 items each 700 Yen. In the end he had to pay 90EUR (!!!).

I'm using fromjapan.co.jp right now for the first time.

The good thing is: they have the option to ship using SAL small packets. Most other proxy services don't do that, which means shipping is way more expensive. Regular SAL is around 2000 Yen. Small packet can be 1/4th of that.
Please note: small packets have strict requirements. If your package is a bit too large, it won't be possible. If I remember correctly, the limit is: add width + height + depth together. The result must not be over 90 cm. And width nor height nor depth may be over 60 cm.

Where abouts in the UK are you?

Where I've lived it tends to be dispatch Wednesday, arrive Thursday. Well for Pokémon ORAS it arrived on Friday but it was still a Wednesday dispatch (what was more irritating was the money was taken on Monday and the game was presumably packed then).

Personally my biggest beef with GAME right now is you can't use gift card balance on pre-orders. I do have like £30+ that needs to be spent sometime.

That looks interesting. So I could use them as a proxy to buy at Amazon.jp for example?

CDKeys have an offer on PS+ today - £31.77 with the 5% facebook discount

Anyone know how you get the discount to apply? I've logged into facebook in the same browser and when I go to the page I get the Facebook like logo at the top with a tick on it but when I check out (normal or via paypal) I don't see the discount?

Liking the page should give a code to enter at the checkout
