Wow. Roy was in putting in work. He's improved significantly. Diggle still needs a mask but damn that head shot! Looking forward to were Palmer goes now. Felicity is in a bad place and I'm worried.

Solid episode but I'm not sure about the ending. I kinda wish that had been dragged out a bit more over more episodes but curious as to how it's explained. It brought up a number of questions. He was dead. He was there for several days on that cliff unclothed. His body had rigamortis from the one shot of his arm. If there are no pits then they better have damn good explanation for this.

Laurel as Black Canary. I have to say it was a solid debut and I was even good with her prior to that. Watch now as she gets very solid writing going forward.

I'm going to be honest. I didn't understand the whole Brick plot of the episode at all.
Felicity continues to make me hate her.

On the bright side, Diggle with the feels and Laurel-Canary made up for it so.

What's the deal with the Glades? Is it like the only area of Starling City?
Take over the Glades? Why take over the part of the city that was destroyed 2 years ago.

Wasn't Oliver dead? If he wasn't he would have had no food or water for 4 days and out in the freezing cold. How is it he's alive? The fuck.

Regarding Palmer

*Potential Spoilers??*

Palmer's fiance Hannah or w/e her name is isn't dead, she will show up on either Flash or Arrow

I'm only calling this bc at one point or another half of the show's cast thought the other half was dead

is it just me or was the budget for this episode really big?

tons of stunts, tons of people, tons of awesome action scenes.

Those Felicity feels.

Ray's buildup is feeling a little too drawn out for me.

Ollie's good deed saved him. This is a surprisingly positive message they stressed.

There is no this without Ollie? Isn't the whole point of what they're doing is to make the city better? I guess for Felicity it wasn't. Get that she is in a bad place, but she threw some shade at Diggle and Roy before she went up the stairs.

Glad they got Ollie's revival out of the way (we all knew it was gonna happen, anyway), & finding out that Tatsu is okay.
Though this may not bode well for the fate of her husband, given what happens in the comics.

He was dead for over 4 days.

He hasn't. Tatsu picked him up during the evening after he fell off. So Ollie was dead for at most 20 hours before he got Ollie to his wife. Going over even 1 hour is way too long but I'll roll with it.

The show was deliberately messing up with our sense of time once you take into account how the Merlyn scenes played out chronologically.

He was dead for over 4 days.
It was never said he laid there 4 days.

If that guy is part of the league he would of shown up shortly after and the laz pit or equivalent probably exist in the universe of arrow, what's the shit that they stole in HK? I missed bits and pieces but maybe that can bring people back if he died. I mean, Malcolm was as good as dead and hes strolling around. Slade was as good as dead but became a super human.

That and it's a comic book show that shares a universe with people who run faster then the speed of light, can shoot fire from their body and people are ok with that but not someone dying and coming back to life?

So Thea knows Roy is Arsenal yet can't connect that Oliver is the Arrow.

Really

She totally knows, she's just in denial.

It's one thing to know it and another to try and ignore it. She's probably had a hunch since season 1/2, given that he was almost arrested AND it was obvious enough that their mother realized. Besides Oliver and Roy went to pick her up from that last city, that had to have triggered something.

It was never said he laid there 4 days.

Yeah, except the mountain was exceptionally high. I bet finding him would've taken him at least 2 or 3 days. I wouldn't be surprised if Oliver had laid there for 4 days

Ok but again we don't know if its the laz pit or some secret sauce.

But it's a show that shares The Flash universe.. Is it really hard to suspend a little disbelief when The Flash has been on Arrow?

That was fantastic.

  • Of course Katana is alive, she's has the potential to be a big player in this season and beyond.
  • They didn't bother keeping Oliver's revival a mystery. Which is fine.
  • Laurel's permanent scowl looks like a joke in the courtroom but works well in a superhero outfit.
  • ROY THE GOAT. Using his acrobatics effectively now!
  • Why do we have no Diggle as Arrow 2.0 gif yet?
  • Generally lots of solid action throughout the episode.
  • I don't think we have a timeline on how long Oliver was left for dead, we'll have to wait and see.
  • Maseo too nice to let Oliver die. Of course he won't make it out of the season alive as a result.
  • The soundtrack was super on-point.
So Brick is a mirakuru soldier, I guess?

Can't wait to see Slade again.

He doesn't seem that crazy for a Mirakuru infected person, but they might just keep the origins vague like in the comics. Then again, Slade was capable of making intelligent plans despite being nuts so maybe Brick could do the same.

The HK poisons were referred to as Alpha and Omega, a reference to Darkseid. Usually his Omega beams kill but they can bring back to life so it's probably related knowing how the show likes to connect each timeline. Of course Darkseid himself won't actually be showing up, it's just an easter egg name.

Yeah, you're totally right about that. I actually misread your post so I wasn't quite sure what you were getting at when I made my post. But you're right, I don't think people should be complaining about a dead person coming back considering Slade was practically Captain America with healing powers, Flash can run across water and buildings, and the fact that it's based on a DC comic

Miracle Maxed. He was only mostly dead.

I don't see how he could be alive after that long fall onto rocks, not to mention the stab, and lying in the cold... but whatever.

He clearly said, "To Blave," which as we all know means To Bluff!

If they avoid the resurrection route, they'll say something about Ollie's body being tough enough to take the fall and the cold slowing his blood loss. Silly stuff.

Those Felicity feels.

Ray's buildup is feeling a little too drawn out for me.

Ollie's good deed saved him. This is a surprisingly positive message they stressed.

I don't think Ray's going to actually be a big figure after he becomes a hero. Something will require his leaving the city for large periods of time so he'll only be a guest on the show after that. They're probably angling to spin him off tbh.

Is it me or the soundtrack was specially good in this episode. It really stood out for me.

Just caught up.

Really enjoyed the episode. Nice to see the flashbacks start to actually tie in heavily to present day.

I know she gets a lot of hate, but I'm really excited to see Laurel as the Canary. She looked so cool in the brief moment we got. I already like her suit more than Sara's.

And I enjoyed Ray's scenes. Hoping the writers do it right with him the rest of the way & CW decides to try out the spin off they discussed recently. He's a fun guy & could be a cool hero.

lol it looks like Roy is upping his game from flips to gravity-defying moves.

How long are they gonna stall on that Lazarus Pit reveal???

"I could've killed you!"
"It's cute you think so."

That legit cracked me up :lol

Thought that was a great episode. Loved the Roy/Diggle action, Vinnie Jones makes for a cool thug villain, and I am ready for Laurel's Canary. Thought it was amusing that she basically gave no fucks about Oliver's death. Roy drinking alone, Diggle had a moment, and Felicity turned into a colossal fuck-up all episode long, but Laurel? She immediately went to work.

Fucking Felicity, though. The writers need to put her on the sidelines for a while because she was absolutely unbearable tonight.

Felicity went from being really cute and endearing in the first season to completely overbearing at this point. Is this a victim of her being too popular? Does she exist only so the tumblr fanbase can write her into their fanfiction pretending to be her??

Yeah, I know the season seems to be less light hearted but she keeps crying. So much. Preferred her being quirky, and when she was pining for Oliver funny enough she seemed more self-reliant (wrong word?) I don't know, she seemed like a stronger character before S3.

Olicity killed her. Flashlicity will bring her back!

Felicity's lines are some of the worst I've heard on TV in years

Felicity was fine tonight. I'm starting to think it's on you guys at this point.

Yah felicity is couple episodes away from falling out of favor. Couple posts up is right. She is always crying now. Seems like every scene with Ray at least

Good episode. I agree with others that Felicity was a more interesting character before the feelings for Oliver started.

it's dragged her down big time. i hope they end it when oliver returns. just keep it platonic please. her chemistry with oliver is absolute shit too. her and ray palmer were better (before this episode) and miles better with barry allen too.

i have a feeling this season is finally the one where everybody loves laurel. but once that catches on with the writers they better not fuck her up (again) too.

the season's best action was in this episode I think. loved the shot of roy in the pipe and diggle doing that boss slide move. vinny jones did not disappoint either. hope he becomes a recurring villain.

dammit it was Diggle's time to shine as the Arrow.
I wouldn't mind if Roy took over the Green costume ala Dick Grayson taking Batman when he died.

that ending. didn't see that coming. nice to see flashback being tied together

Hi arrow gaf. This is the first episode I watched as it aired. We need more diggle action for sure. Roys gravity defying moves were pretty cool to see. I agree that felicity is getting borring. Fuck laurel. Good episode though.

"I could've killed you!"
"It's cute you think so."

I loved that scene. We can always use more Meryln.

Go Diggle! He can definitely carry an episode. Roy was good too, just needed more flips.

Felicity :-/ I'm torn over her. On one hand she's right about talking Ray out of it as she's been there done that with Ollie. Just wait till he comes back she'll be happy and then go jumping into Rays A.T.O.M hands.

Laurel!! I bow down to you. Can't wait to see more of her. Make that dimple proud girl!

The fact that Felicity has been a love interest to all three characters with confirmed DC/CW series in the Arrow/Flashverse has not escaped my attention. She's gonna have to sleep with Vixen before Vixen can get a full TV series.
