Only just noticed this. A word a warning. If you're playing on a European 3DS through means you sill have no access to the US eShop which means no access to the DLC. But hey maybe having a piece of plastic in the cartridge slot is more important than DLC to you.

3DS is not region free, is it? The North American cart will simply not work on an Euro 3DS.
There's a hack doing the rounds. It's region-freeable as it stands. Probably will get patched out, though.

Not an issue you can remain on 4.5, while custom loading the newest firmware onto it separately.
Oh, yes, there's workarounds. Just wanted to make it clear that it's not the base unit that's becoming free, you need to maintain the hacked-ness.

So, after defending Game slightly a couple of pages back, I've received a game used, returned it for a replacement, replacement was worse than original and they're refunding me using a wide gift voucher rather than the gift card I used to pay.

VGP sells the game still through Europe's Amazon marketplaces, e.g. Amazon Germany.
They had an "exclusive re-stock" last year. I'm assuming the copies on Amazon are the last of that?
Looks like they would deliver to Belgium, so I don't see why they wouldn't ship it to Norway.
Edit: when in doubt, you could always contact VGP customer support. In my experience, they're really friendly and helpful.

I think that you missed the part where he said that he used a gift card to pay, not a credit or debit card. It seems to me that it's difficult to add funds to a gift card away from a store till and so that's why GAME does this.
GAME's terms and conditions actually make it clear that this will happen if online orders are cancelled after using a gift card. I've used this to turn my gift cards into online vouchers so that I can use them for pre-orders online as I order games and then immediately cancel them.

It was castlevania Lord of shadows collection. It came out 2 years ago apparently.
They actually care? I googled it and saw they've been doing it for 4-5 years at least.
I've had money refunded back to a gift card previously due to one of their systems messing up and taking extra money from me. Their systems allow them to take money from giftcards but not refund, that's some bs right there. I actually had the same idea last year, but they didn't allow me to cancel - I wanted the game anyway which is why I tried to do it - i literally ordered and then went on chat to cancel.

Tried it again, even with 2 copies, still won't work.
No idea why. Norway is not in EU though, maybe that's the difference?
Oddly enough they won't send it to Portugal as well, which is part of the EU so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

There seems to be something about this specific title. If I add the Sonic game to the cart it shows up as deliverable to Sweden but Mario is still off-limits.

Feels like some evil import restricting business deal that Nintendo EU and Bergsala AB is behind...

bro, i have that game. wouldnt recommend it, since its outdated and it does not work in a proper way. if you have an ipad or a tablet with access to the southkorean playstore, try to get that.
i bought that game back then for 60bucks, and became frustrated. its too awkward and not anywhere to the original arcade feeling....
the screen is too small, the tried to outsource it to the back touch-screen. this is not well done

Seems to be the cheapest right now, you could throw it into Flubit to knock a little off though.

So I've got a N3DS on order with GAME in store for the trade in deal, but looking to pick up a charger and Majoras Mask. Wheres the best places to go for them at the minute?
Edit: Just checked the GAME website and they have an online bundle that includes MM for £30. Might have to ask if they're planning to do that in-store too.

ah just noticed that - been checking every couple of days so must have gone up recently. £181.99 for white/black n3DS, MM and a charger.
£91 for trade-in (price match CEX+£1), so £90 to trade up with MM.

The only problem I could see happening there is CEX's trade price plummeting just before release, and personally I need to get on board with GAME's trade in as its the only way I can trade it and perform a system transfer :\

Game offer £52.00 for a standard 3DS, I got £64.00 for mine by price matching CEX
They also offer £62.00 for an XL (or £70.00 with the New 3DS promo) but I got £87.00 by again price matching CEX.
So £151.00 (which pays for the New 3DS) instead of the £114 / £122 (promo) Game offer
You do need to take proof of the CEX price with you to Game and it has to be within a mile of the Game store.
Both my 3DS' had scratched screens too, but other than that were both boxed and worked well.
