I wonder how many people I will see at the door waiting. For Wave 1, the only people that showed up to TRU first thing either were getting Pokemon (for that Charizard plush promo), or Smash and a couple common Miibos.
Hope I can get 2 Rosalinas, since I told a friend from Canada (the land of soon-to-be no Targets) that I'd try and nab another.

Forgot to mention before but when I bought my Bowser at TRU, the cashier said that the next batch (assuming Wave 4?) should be expected in March and pre-orders should be up in February.
This confirmation email was for a physical preorder card I got around Dec 20th

Assuming this info is correct, I just can't think of ANY good reason WHY the pre-orders would go up so late. I can't think of any other non-niche game related good that would get such a big press announcement, not to show up on pre-order for nearly a month later :/

Hmm, just realized the release dates are on Fridays. Thankfully, I don't have any classes that day (it'd suck if it was Tuesday or Thursday since I've got a 2 hour class just as GS opens), so think I can somehow plan my day to head to that end of town.
Rosalina sounds like she won't be too bad, perhaps. Might go in on 2/1 just to be safe despite not having much else to do on the end of town where Target & GS are.
Oh yeah, GS' site is saying Pit is released on 1/30. Anyone else noticed that?

Yeah, that was my thought as well. Mario characters have been rather easy to find. I always see Mario, Peach, & Luigi whenever I check for the most part. The only ones we may get extras of as I know are Bowser and TL, the rest are literally all reserved as far as I know in most gamestops, but it doesn't hurt to try?

I did pre-order a Wii Fit though...Well there WAS a whole topic dedicated to that Nintenuggets or whatever article that spread around the Internets like wildfire (even though MiiboGAF was already aware). Seems like a similar thing and best to just not pay attention.
Ok... so I went today to Hamburg, Germany. some of you probably know by now that that store has everything.... amiibo section looked like this some hours ago. (pic taken by me with my phone)
.- The first one to tell me which ONE amiibo is not available in the pic receives an internet brofist and high five from me
.- Shitton of Lucarios, Ikes, Bowsers, Toon Links
.- Sheik a bit less and even less Rosalina, which is going for 36.99 euros right now in the German amazon.
.- There are a ton of amiibos here, I had to step back to take the pic but that's the whole area, nothing else to Mario's or Ike's sides.

Nothing new with Nintendo products oddly enough, same stuff with the Wii, Wii Fit, N3DSXL Bundles etc
Curious, I have some in-store preorders I made online, can I just go into my Gamestop on those release dates and just pick up the amiibos no problem? Or do I have to worry about getting there as soon as they have stock given that there's no street date anymore. I don't get charged until release dates so I dunno if I can just go into a store before release date and pick up my amiibo without technically paying for them
Pay them off early so they actually hold them. Apparently they're less likely to hold them if you dont. I paid off my site to Store preorders yesterday.
Be on the lookout daily because they'll see them right when they get them.
Can I do that in store? The purchases are connected to my Paypal and they're gonna automatically charge me when the release date rolls around.
I never really dealt with online in-store preorders before. I regret not just ordering ship to home >_>

Yeah, Shulk is honestly the one I'm the most worried about too. I may have a lock on getting one for me, so I'm hoping that works out so I can also try to grab an extra somewhere else.

Dixie is the one DLC character I want more than anything.I preorder online to in store all the time you have nothing to worry about gamestop calls before they get them in and at least mine once to remind you have 48 hrs to pick them up. This would be my 100+th order made this way Never had an issue. And I ALWAYS use paypal.
Canadian retail is the worst.

Are they in store pick ups with PayPal? If so NO PayPal will not charge you at all. It's just for restocking fees that are never charged.
That's the thing with in store pick up, everyone thinks the card/PayPal will be charged but no, all that happens is it makes a 0.00 preorder in our system that must be paid for in store.
Edit: (PSA) FOR ALL IN STORE PICKUP ORDERS THAT CURRENTLY HAVE NO MONEY ON THEM WE WERE TOLD TO CALL ONCE AND IF NO ANSWER TO PUT ON DISPLAY.
For in store pick ups with any money on them you are ok and they will be held for the requisite 48h after the call
SO GET YOUR MONEY ON YOUR STUFF.

Here is today's trio liberated from their plastic prisons!
I was in the right place at the right time. I walked into TRU and didn't see anything new. As I started walking towards the exit, I saw an employee walk by me with a Bowser in his hand and into the stockroom. I hung around the stockroom door, pretending to look at games while I waited for him to emerge. A few minutes later, he came out of the stockroom, Bowser still in hand. He asked if I wanted it. I did and also asked if they had Toon Link or Sheik. He said he had Toon Link and he would go get me one. A couple minutes later, he came out with a few Bowsers, a few Toon Links, and a SHEIK! He gave me one of each and that was that!
He said that he was getting conflicting information as to whether or not they could sell them and literally just then got the go-ahead to put those three out. I asked him about Lucario and he said they had him, but only for pre-orders. I have Lucario pre-ordered at another TRU, so didn't press any further. HE DID NOT SAY THAT THEY COULD SELL LUCARIO NOW.

So happy I picked one up when I saw them. I was debating on getting it even though I plan on getting the Zelda based ones. Looks great next to my Link and Zelda. Seriously can not wait for Ganon to be announced. He will be preordered without a doubt.
I wonder what kind of function these are gonna have with LoZ. Hopefully they do something cool with these. I also wonder what the LoZ line is gonna look like since I'm sure they'll make some for that game.
