They actually are nice. I think they look better than people thought they were going to look. Zelda, Toon Link, Samus, Pit, Fox, and Bowser are the ones that immediately come to mind that I really like that I've seen in person.

eh its not getting that much better, yea people are selling them in bunches, but prices of certain amiibos are rising, like little macs for example, and he will continue to rise the more time passes. ikes and shulks are probably gonna be worth a lot soon as well when they release

If you want to make sure you don't miss a Rosalina you should just camp out in Target and hide under the amiibo shelving before they close.

This is interesting and part of the reason why I haven't really committed in saying I'll help everyone else out... I figured that there's a lot of people in here that are full of shit. There are absolutely people who are 100% awesome too. I'm still trying to figure out who's who in some cases!

Whoa. Not wanting to speculate on who or anything here; just want to say I'd have more of a problem with someone saying they'd help unconditionally (outside of maybe shipping costs?) then turn around and do that, than the guy earlier who pronounced shipping his box to Amazon for profit.

I would be sad to see the thread have an uptick in scalping stories and the conversations beginning to sound like what you find on places like RedFlagDeals and other websites that have a lot of scalpers and hoarders.
People are obviously free to talk about whatever Amiibo topic they like. However, this thread was never developed with scalpers in mind. I have had great interactions with people here and purchased Amiibos at the price that would cover the items, materials and services covered to ship the item, not for a profit.
Profit searching isn't the focus of this thread in my opinion. This is just what I think and many will agree and disagree. No place on NeoGaf promotes this for anyone, just look at the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL or other hot items. People usually aren't piping in that they just got 3 Playstation 4s to make profit on in a console launch thread.
High and unfair prices are usually called out in the B/S/T thread as well. Like people have said here Gafers shouldn't be doing that to each other but reasonably selling to one another.
You can also argue scalpers are important, those that truly have no locations or thread like this to get a certain Amiibo can go to eBay. It is almost as if that person is also paying for the search and hunt. Maybe it's worth it given the stress of finding them! Haha.
Speak your minds and let these threads evolve and grow.

I just finished all of my Club Nintendo surveys. I have 1280 coins. Hopefully that will be enough to get the exclusive amiibos that they will undoubtedly have available in a week or two!

So I made a chart of the current US release dates of wave 3 amiibos at various retailers. Tell me if you spot any errors. Also, does anyone know the rest of the release dates for Best Buy? I could have sworn at least Meta Knight had a date going around, but he's listed as 12/31/2015 on bestbuy.com like the rest of them.

I haven't been nervous about Meta Knight up until now. Considering I don't know his release date and haven't received an e-mail or nothing about it. I also accidentally destroyed the receipt, the only proof I preordered them is my best buy rewards card

The Toys R Us Weekly ad for this week is advertising "New Characters in store 1/30", featuring pics of Bowser, Lucario, and Sonic. Ad was made days/weeks ago, so Sonic might be up in the air, but Bowser and Lucario should be a go.
If you can get to TRU on the 30th, you should probably get to TRU on the 30th.
That does help give that date some credibility. Not sure if I'll be able to make it in time that day, which really does sucks cause I already had everything planned for the 1st of Feb.

UK amiibros: how easy was it to find Rosalina on release day? She's currently unavailable for instore collection at any UK retailer and also unavailable for purchase on the EU Amazons. She's only been out for 2 days. Luckily I already have her, but I'm using her situation to gauge my Shulk chances in Feb.

Guys obviously hes here trolling whether its true or not matters not understand this exists and always will in our capitalist economy.The only reaction posts like this (bragging about something hurtful to others) should receive is getting ignored cause inciting rage is their point so dont bite.
On a side note i am financially unable to purchase anymore amiibos unless i come across a Meta Knight for my son.Those of you who have the ability to hunt and purchase at will be thankful for that and forget scalpers trust me things can be alot worse.
If it's anything like here in France: virtually totally impossible.
The problem is that, even if there was a couple available to buy, the « on release day » is part of the problem: all stores launched wave 3 on a random day, so if you're not lucky enough (or have someone inside the shop warning you), you'll be either early or late.

I'm more concerned about Target and Rosalina. I can easily make it at 0800 right after work on Sunday, but Friday or Saturday would be a little trickier (well, Saturday specifically). Turned off by people being friendly and helping each other. So what you'd rather see us all fight tooth and nail for these things, sell for the highest price and backstab each other at every possible moment?
I don't want to live in that kind of world and I certainly don't relish it. Seeing all the companionship here is so refreshing compared to all the stories of guys in trenchcoats buying out entire stock of amiibo for a quick buck.
EDIT: Sorry, I see you're not exactly FOR scalping but I stick to what I said about the companionship here being a nice change of pace. Besides there's no news anyway right now. If you're trying to keep up with wave 4 preorders you're probably better off watching a site like nowinstock or amiibo inquirer instead of a thread like this.

Unless they're planning to never release a WiiU Pokemon game, I would say lucario if you're only going to functionality, or Dedede/Meta Knight for the upcoming Kirby gme

The one im talking about said the way they did the christamas sales they are not going to order the 3rd waves amiibos until february. So I dont know if they are going to get them or not (or just jumping to wave 3.5), because it seems the only place in Valencia were scalpers are not going.

I used to flip things from goodwill and flea markets while unemployed and would make like $400 a month. Took a lot of effort but it was fun finding junk worth something.
These people just love feeling like they're so smart and have found a hot stock. People do pay their prices and companies do create the environments for scalpers to thrive too.

The non smash lines could make better figures since they aren't tied to designs that require stands or have link looking at the ground. The smash Luigi has a stupid pose too.

I like Toon Link a lot, more so than regular Link, but I only own regular Link cause he looks great and goes well with Zelda and Sheik. The trio looks very nice next to my Wii U stuff. Can't wait for Ganon to be announced.
