Seriously. Why would GS get Sonic (& Mega Man, I'm guessing) 3 weeks after TRU? That makes no sense.
I seriously hope by Wave 4, Nintendo finally gets their bearings together with this.

I was in a GameStop in Munchen (Karlplatz) and saw two Shieks, an Ike and a Villager just before closing time Sat night.

Yeah I hate that I ended up being right, but we have 28 on the way as well. Wonder if I can still return the one I got sent for $33 from Euroland : (

My account finally got approved, but I've been following these threads since December.
I'm a fellow Amiibo-finatic and have all of Wave 1 and 2, as well as all of Wave 3 Pre-ordered [at various stores just in case].
I'll be sure to post my cohort in a bit but just wanted to post here as my first official NeoGAF post.

We have a limit of one on all amiibos that are in short supply at the Targrt I work at, but that's only because I suggested it. Like I thought though, Target didn't pay to get an exclusive amiibo then get shorted on supply. I really don't think she'll be as hard to find as so many people think.
Also if anyone else is curious: our distribution center also has us slated to get 12 bowser, 8 toon link, and only four sheik.

How is that enforced? When I got two starfoxes, one for me and one for a friend the cashier in the electronics register said I could only purchase one so I said ok and then went to the register in the front of the store and the transaction went through without a problem.

Well that's good to hear. It sounds like Sheik might actually be harder to find at this point. Perhaps I should get him or Shulk for my possible giveaway?

It's street dates for 2/1 in our system, so unless a GSTL or LOD overrides it for you then no.
Well anyone can get around it doing something like that. Someone with a shopping cart full? Not so easy...

Rosalina coming out on Friday will ruin my shopping plans but whatever, i've got a gamestop pretty close to me so i might be able to swing Shulk and Shiek as well, might have to sell them my copy of Xenoblade to do it though

if you are a Northamerican, remotely considering getting an European Rosalina amiibo from EU online stores and you per chance find one for the equivalent of US $29.99 dls or less, BUY IT IMMEDIATELY
you guys still remember that Hamburg pic I posted yesterday?? there were 7 Rosalinas when I got in and 5 when I left, and that wave (lucario, Ike, Toon Link, Sheik, Bowser) was released on friday the 23rd (two days ago), which means, it was nearing sell out 2 days after release!
They are not going to last more than a month in stores, then they'll be gone for good.

Most likely the date it'll arrive at their store. Some probably won't put them out on display/for sale until Sunday.
I know my GS doesn't break street date, so at the very least, if those dates are correct, I don't have to worry about them selling Shulk a day or two before the 13th.
You can check (maybe call or ask in person when you can buy her), but it seems she might not be available for purchase until the 2/1 date.
& wish I could sell my copy of Xenoblade. Tried the BST thread but no luck, might have to finally give in & put it up on eBay or Craigslist or something.

Usually on release day (since wave 2) I'll just keep the "rare" ones behind the counter. Obviously each store will vary though.

Not sure. I work at one of the bigger targets so we don't even use those PDAs anymore. We actually use iPod touches now.

There is no Street Date on GameStop's stock. Looking at the email right now and it says that those dates are estimated and to sell on arrival.
Ah crap, really? Guess I better ask tomorrow if I could possibly have them contact me or something. Maybe I'll have better luck considering I go into the one in my town rather often to the point both main employees recognize/are familiar with me (one time we had a nice discussion about Earthbound).

I just finished collecting the first two waves, and I have no other amiibos on pre-order (other than the Mario Party 10 LE) as I recently just got into collecting them. My current plan is to head off to stores as they open, and pick up one of each unit available before resorting to resellers. Is there a list of confirmed sell dates for Wave 3, or a list of rumored dates? If I have to make trips on multiple days, I am absolutely willing to do so.

Really really, if you have preorders the email says we will contact you as soon as shipment comes in. Probably going to print out list like we do for midnight launches and call everyone

GameStop says the 6th for Bowser
13th for everything sans MM and Sonic
20th for those 2
No one knows with Meta Knight, but Rosalina is the 1st at Target and Lucario the 30th at TRU
According to the reddit thread, that particular Target is expected to get the Rosalina shipment on the 30th, but will sell them on the 1st.
Yeah, they'll contact me about Sonic since I pre-ordered him, but he's 2/20, a week after Shulk & co.
Maybe I'll see if I can pre-order Ike since he should be part of the 2/13 group.
I know someone who works at Best Buy & trying to get one for me & some friends. If I see him this week, I'll ask him if he knows anything about his release date.
