Good point, would have been easier starting with the Super Mario line, then maybe a second like Zelda before hand.

It seems they've gotten better going forward, many of the wave ones had discrepancies between the same figures which was a shame.

When did you guys preorder for wave 3? Seems to me like Gamestop in store is the best place to pre-order Wave 4 if yall getting it this early.

Pro tips
Preorder all the thing everywhere then decide to keep what you want if you dont want them all.
Pray alot and go to every store multiple times a day.
Check inventory daily.
Call every store during lunch hour.
Look at all sites with like minded collectors whom have extra and hope a generous person finds you any of Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer.
Post here often and hope to find some good info from ppl in your area.

Yeah smash was a big game for them to start out with. Especially with how close releases have been on the sheer amount of them.

I preordered mine on the site back in mid December. The week of Dec 12th I did Bowser Shulk Ike DDD. Dec. 26th I did sonic Sheik Toon Link.

The guy at Gamestop said there's no more street dates, only expected dates, so they'll call right when they get them in.
 
So if bowser is available for pick-up, those this mean anyone can walk there right now and buy any extras they may have? Since they have no strict release date?

I suppose that would be the case. From what I was told, most stores in my local area won't be getting many extras at all. So you need to be quick.

Dude said I was the only one at my store who preordered amiibos from wave 3 there.

Mine shipped today from gamestop.com also.
So I would assume so of your store has them.

Edit: called to confirm and yep there selling um.

I have an Ike for shipping pre ordered, seems the reception for ordering online for delivery seems to be good, although I had to call costumer service to have the address changed, its the first time I ever order anything from them for delivery, so we'll see how that goes.

So I was curious to see if my local Toys R Us and Target in Mayfield Heights, Ohio got in any new amiibo. Toys R Us only had Bowser as the newest amiibo:

I will say, Bowser looks mighty scary looking as an amiibo. I think they did a really good job with him. He was also pretty heavy too. Probably similar to Donkey Kong's weight.

And Target didn't have any new ones. :( Their amiibo rack is still the exact same size from when amiibo were first released. It was about 1/4 the size of Toys R Us's. Gonna have to stop in early on Sunday for Rosalina I guess. (And to Best Buy for Meta Knight.)

Gamestop said if you preordered for in store pick up and your item arrives, they will sell it to you regardless of what day it is.

Hmmm, so at the very least, Sonic might arrive before the 20th now. Would be amazing if he came along with Shulk & co. so it'd save me the trouble of constantly checking/calling them.
 
Hey there, amiibrahs and amiibettes, I have some radical trades to make -- figured I'd post here first, since it's a bunch of Nintendo stuff that I'd like to trade for amiibo, and I really like this community.

So, I like to collect just the amiibo of characters that I'm attached to, and I like to open 'em. If any amiibo is listed here, I will totally take a boxed one, an unboxed one (I do prefer good condition and a nice paint job), or one with a box that's beat all to hell -- cause I'm going to open it anyways. I don't care what region they're from, either.

I have my email confirmation, so this is yours whenever it arrives. It'll be sealed, of course. Will trade for a Little Mac or Shulk amiibo, boxed or unboxed, any region.

The Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack, unboxed Diddy Kong amiibo, and Fight Club and Batman Begins blu-rays are deal sweeteners. As in, I can toss these things in to other deals or trade 'em in combination for common amiibo, whatever. The Galaxy soundtrack has a little wear on one corner of its sleeve (you can see the worst of it in the photo), but the CD has never been played.

Other than an Amiibo for Amiibo trade, this isn't really the place for that. There is a designated Amiibo trade thread on Community, or post this in B/S/T.
 
I paid off my Shulk in-store pickup online order at my local GS today but they weren't sure when he'd actually be avaiable - sounds like he might not be out until the 13th. :S

They had Bowser in-stock but I passed b/c I've got him and the rest of W3 (except Lucario & Rosalina, of course) pre-ordered at Best Buy and they haven't let me down yet. :)
 
So have we even seen any Ike, Dedede, Sonic, or Mega Man amiibo yet? I just realized I haven't heard anything on those 4. Not even at Nintendo World Store.

OH GOD THOSE ARE GONNA BE THE SUPER ULTRA UNICORN RARE ONES, AREN'T THEY.

Looks like they have a mid or late feb release date compared to the ones released thus far.

I thought you knew, ALL OF THE WAVES FROM NOW ON ARE UNICORNS. I still think Ike and Dedede will be rare but not unicorns. I think Sanic and MM will be Uncommons

I don't mean to offend, but I thought it best to post here first -- the amiibo trading thread does not seem to be very active, and I'd prefer to trade with amiibo GAF because it's a solid group of people who are really into collecting, who like to help each other, and who are more likely to be interested in weird Nintendo stuff like soundtracks.

I mean, if lots of posters are offended, I'll gladly move it to B/S/T or the trading thread, but I feel that my post was pretty amiibo-oriented and I thought it's more likely that interested folks would see it here.
 
Yeah, Sonic I can't imagine being rare. Mega Man will probably be uncommon.

Got a friend who'll use his Gamer's Club at Best Buy to hopefully nab me an Ike since he's one of my SSB mains & for Codename Steam.

Really hoping I might be able to afford an New 3DS XL now, considering I managed to sell some games & might get even more. Plus my GS might even get some extra Majora's Mask 3D systems.

Pac-Man is hard to say. Like, you don't really see any Pac-Man merchandise anymore, but he's still someone that's recognizable. I guess if I had to guess, he'd be uncommon. Despite the different design, he DOES still have games coming out to go with that TV show, so at the very least, there's still some kids who'd be familiar with him.

Its ok with me, but we tend to not spam this thread with trade offers, since there are dedicated spaces for that and some people are sensitive to them for some reason since they distract from the discussion..
