Amiibo Discussion Thread 2: I Got 99 Pre-orders But A Rosalina Ain't One

Neither JB (Shulk, Dedede) or mightyape (Ike) have sent my amiibo's yet :\

Should have gotten in earlier and done everything at EB who shipped my Sheik and Meta yesterday, thankfully I didn't make that mistake again and have Robin, Lucina, Ness and Charizard already preordered at EB now.

Little Mac is a unicorn all around the world. The price checker is inaccurate, though, so I wouldn't hold out much hope of them actually being there. Worth checking, I suppose.
 
Thankfully, my Rosalina from Target shipped. I was worried since so many here were receiving their shipping confirmations as early as yesterday but low and behold mine's shipped.

I'm still going to TRU on Riday to take advantage of their deal (and hopefully they get good stock of Lucario, TL and Sheik) and off to Target on Sunday to get the rest.

I'm having a good feeling again. The excitement is real, guys!

Where in the US are you, to give us an idea? Still nothing for the Midwest.
 
Alright, so after thinking it over, if I'm able to find one, I'm gonna do a giveaway for a Rosalina. I'll most likely do a Modbot giveaway, but I'm figuring out if I should start it the Friday (2/6), end it on Sunday, then ship it out on Monday, or do it the day after her release (2/2), have it end Thursday, then I can ship it out on Friday. That way, it can get to the winner sooner than later.

I'm still deciding on EU, as it seems it'd cost me around $10 to ship it out there. Again, this is assuming I get lucky & my Target gets a decent amount of her, which hopefully they will based on previous comments about 28 stock.
 
I preordered Metaknight for instore pickup at Best Buy. Thankfully it's at a store where I used to work, so I have friends there that will make sure I receive him. I'm still nervous though...

All of my Target.com orders have always shipped from Illinois.

I also preordered on the 19th compared to the people who got in on the 17th.
 
I pre-ordered Metaknight to deliver to my home from Best Buy. I'm curious to know the stance on that currently.

Also, I haven't heard anything about my gamestop orders for wave 3(all in-store at the same store).

My lucarios should be ready for pick up on Friday.

I preordered mine on the 17th, so it would figure if those that did it later would get it shipped before us -_-;;

and yeah, mine's probably coming from that facility too.
 
Looks like my Meta Knight is about to ship from Play-Asia too!

On the plus side, they did a kick-ass job packaging the last two amiibos I purchased from them! When ours ship we'll be set!
 
My biggest fear with these online orders is that I'm absolutely certain of what I'm getting but, because of these others receiving the wrong figure in some orders, I'm a tad worried. And with how fast these amiibo go out of stock, it would be far too late for the retailer to exchange it. A combination of idiotic/thieving employees and Nintendo's limited stock could equal no amiibo for me.

If I get my order from Target and find a Peach amiibo instead of Rosalina...

Good Morning! Rosalina shipping email from Target this morning!! get hype!!! This was the Amiibo I was most worried about. *edit* IL (midwest) here. Just in case someone was wondering.
 
Finally opened them. Except for Wii Fit Trainer, don't want that ugly white woman on my shelf. It's staying in the closet.

Ace Combat 3D Assault Horizon+ hitting Japan tomorrow & it uses even more amiibo now, including Pac-Man, making this the first 3rd party game to utilize a 3rd party character amiibo, even if the amiibo itself was made by Nintendo. You can see the skins each amiibo unlocks here.

Ace Combat is made by namco.
Thus the Nintendo characters are the ones out of place lol. But I know what you meant.

We ordered Meta Knight on the same day. I pre-ordered Toon Link and DeDeDe as well. That date has always been the place holder. I don't know what is taking Best Buy so long? The only notice I've gotten from Best Buy is that Toon Link is shipping on the first. No update on the others.

I guess I'll try to grab a Toon Link from Target if they have it on the first along with Rosalina.

Yeah that's kinda where I'm at. Unless I see some REALLY cool like Fire Emblem ones or something else I can't live without (like a Capcom line where they did the robot masters throughout the years....god help me I'd be broke buying every damn one) I'm pretty much done after I get all of smash. That will make for a nice display.
 
If you just want a Rosalina and don't care if it's Smash or not, she'll probably be in the second Mario series, which will probably be a bit more common than the Smash figures.
 
Got my Toad pre-ordered. Nintendo UK are really my only stop for amiibo. ShopTo are a bit iffy with delayed amiibo for me (aside from Captain Falcon) and GAME are too expensive. I don't trust the rest to not cancel preorders

I wish they put Wave 4 back up for pre-order. It's annoying that only two have been available for more than a single day.

To be fair, we haven't seen Meta Knight in the US yet.
My guess is there is a delay for him.
