I remember someone mentioning in here, that there is a great (and cheap) 3DS pouch at amazon.fr or uk, but I can't find the post. Anyone remember something like that? It must have been in the last few months.

Yeah sorry guys, I don't know the ins and outs of how the code works. I only used it on The Order, which worked and reduced the price to £37.00. Didn't bother with Uncharted 4 yet because lolwtfbbq it's aeons away.

Just bought a €50 PSN card for €41,31. Great timing as I was planning to buy Grim Fandango today :D
They also have €20 PSN cards, as well as PS+ and Xbox Live cards.

They will probably correct this soon so grab them while you still can.

Sony supposedly has a policy of not offering games through PS+ IGC if they've been on sale recently, presumably to avoid the backlash from a lot of people that would certainly happen if they dropped the price as an incentive to get people to buy the game, then turned around and gave it away for "free" a week or two later. So while Second Son will likely be an IGC game at some point, it being on sale now probably means it won't be in the next 3+ months. They'll probably offer games like Killzone, Knack, Journey and a couple of 3rd party games like Tomb Raider DE, Need For Speed and Assassin's Creed IV as bigger IGC PS4 games in the coming months.

Wasn't TR DE on sale? It was 19.99€ on the store here (or still is dunno), which does not seem like it's standard price.
 
The Toshiba Encore Mini Windows 8 tablet is currently going for £49.99 at eBuyer.

I've been looking for a portable to play emulators for a while. With this being full windows 8.1 and with 1GB ram and the 1.33ghz quad core atom it would seem to be quite the bargain.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this device for that price and my purposes?

I bought it for the £21 price because Kirby games can sky rocket in price here in the UK if you wait too long. Though checking my local shops it is out of stock everywhere (perhaps I even got the last copy at mine) so I'm not too bothered about the few extra pounds I could have saved.

is 1gb ram really enough? i doubt it.
what do you mean by emulators?
until n64 you wont face any problems, dolphin, ps2, dc are a whole different world.
never tried psp-emulation...

damn there were some majoras mask n3dsxl on amazon. i put it into the basket and it was gone.

Well Im moving up from PSP homebrew so 16 & 32bit systems are what Im looking at. This tablet is also a full blown PC so should get Windows 10. I already have a surface pro but its to heavy and bulky to take around. This tablet is the size of a nexus so portability wont be an issue.

Sounds awful with the resolution and everything to get anything done with it, can't imagine getting fiddly Windows emulators setup with it.

Think it would play up to PS1/N64 mind you. Personally, I rooted a £99 Kindle Fire HDX 7 and its fast as hell emulating up to PSP and easy to pair a DualShock 3/4 with it. it can allegedly do Gamecube alright, but I haven't been able to get Dolphin working.

EDIT: bugger, was just a sale when I bought mine. Up to £150 now.

I mean if less than £50 so pocket money. Im not planning to use it as a 'PC' as such. Only to play old games.

I'm just curious how much beef that quad core atom has for gaming. It ranks between the iPad 4 and iPad Air for performance and all the best emulators seem to be on Windows anyway.

I can just imagine hooking it up to a TV and using a dual shock controller so quality of the actual unit isnt of interest, only what the raw hardware can do!

It's cheaper than a 2DS and the nearest equivalent is a used PSP. Of course if I spend double/triple I'll get more performance but Im looking at this device for what it can do at the price its going for,

Oh yeah, the resolution won't be so bad when you get a game booted and working, but it'll make touching to get files selected and the like quite hard unless there's a front end that's good for touch.

Just remember to factor in the cost of a micro SD and possibly a capacitive stylus, because classic windows menus are going to be very fiddly with your fingers.

EDIT: But yeah, in terms of grunt, it should do up to N64 & PS1. Just don't bank on Saturn as they're still crazy intensive last time I tried.

Because based on the Souls games it's like a Nintendo game. The hardcore will have to have it at any price day 1, but it's not a big enough game like a UC4, The Order based on marketing or the yearly franchises to do a price war on.

Fortunately, it shouldn't hold its price like a Nintendo game and you can always hit up US PSN.

I havnt used a Saturn emulator for years but I remember Satourne really seems to fly even on a very modest PC
 
Is there a trick to get the first order discount working on cdkeys.com?

I went to their fb page yesterday, put my spam mail address in, got a code displayed. Made an account with the same address today, put the code in and it says code is not valid. It's 1:1 from the screenshot I took, though.

The code changes fairly frequently, you're going to have to put your spam email address in again I'm afraid!

Go to their Facebook page and 'click here to get 5% off'. They'll give you a new code that works.
 
Will be interesting to see if people get those Basic Wii U. I hope it isn't the same shoddy supplier that had nothing like John Lewis used.

Should be fine. There is a thread on here about these windows tablet, check on there for specific performance questions. Also an ideal device for streaming from another PC
 
I can't find Toukiden Ps4 for preorder anywhere. Wasn't it announced for Europe? I'm also looking for the best Dragon Age, Dark Souls 2, Lords of the fallen or FF type-0 prices :)

I want a ps4 rpg, but I'll go for one that is not too expensive first, so the others can do down in price while I finish the one I have :)

wait,UK is getting the skull kid figurine? wasn't that exclusive to northamerica? I thought we PAL people were only getting the LE with the steel book.
