Seems that way, I was able to grab him.
They look better in that they're less detailed so it's less likely that manufacturing will mess up the paint job.

Got my Sheik today. I stopped by Target on the way home from school, went to the electronics department, and there they were. I was going to get two, but since there was only 4 to begin with I kind of felt bad so I didn't. 
Just after I got to the Sheiks two employees came over - the girl from electronics was showing the guy from mobile that they got Sheik in, so he bought one at the same time as me. The electronics girl was saying that they got a bunch of characters in, though all of them were street-dated except for Sheik.
Afterwards I continued home and decided to swing by another Target (which is actually my usual store) to grab that second Sheik just in case, but their systems said the she was street-dated for Feb. 1 and wasn't allowing them to sell... I didn't know that was possible? Anyway, I was definitely happy I stopped at the other Target first after that. Oh, and perhaps more interesting...
I SAW A ROSALINA IN REAL LIFE. She was just sitting there on the counter. All alone, with the electronics guy's back to her and I. If only I didn't have morals.
Talked to the guy and he said she was street-dated (of course) and that I should be there 8am on the dot on Sunday. Which I was already going to do, but damn, doesn't exactly give me a ton of confidence.

Found on reddit, but apparently some Targets are putting wave 3 on shelves but have a sell date of 2/1.
Ask them to hold one, if not find a place to hide one until Sunday xD

More of their traditional look. Smash is more detailed in general. These seem to be more true to the art style of Mario games.
