Welcome and as others have told already, this is a good place to start (and get the posts needed for the glorified member status. I know I did a year ago).
I was visiting a friend for a month a while ago and now I know I need a gaming pc. So many quirky games that got me excited about games again. One Finger Death Punch was my favorite of his Steam collection. It was something new, but so simple.
Another thing that I recommend is Battlestar Galactica board game which I have played about a year every time I visit my friends. It's really fun with the secret Cylons and not knowing which friends are lying.
GAF is full of great people, so I don't mind posting here. Besides, I couldn't really think of another place to introduce myself without it seeming awkward lol.
