Amiibo Discussion Thread 2: I Got 99 Pre-orders But A Rosalina Ain't One

Here are what the other 2 Toys R Us stores around San Francisco had to say regarding Lucario.

San Mateo: Pre-orders only.
Redwood City: They're delaying the release to Monday.

Basically if you're in the bay area, you are probably not going to be getting Lucario.

As far as I've heard, all North American Toys R Uses will get Lucario tomorrow, although you might have to get lucky to find one on shelves — they might only have enough for preorders initially. (If you have a preorder, though, you should be alright to get it tomorrow.)
 
I received an email from ebay asking me to rate my Lucario purchase from TRU back when they were listed to ship in December. It still hasn't shipped yet, lol.

Dang. No wonder. Because on the east bay side they haven't even gotten the shipments yet. Yayyyyyyy wtf waste of time. Son of a....
 
With my amiibo stuck in customs, there's no way I get them this week. =/

I'm just gonna break down and go to Target this Sunday to pick up Rosalina. I'll just give away the Japanese one to a friend.

Here on the west coast we get everything last. So our Lucario shipments haven't even arrived. Only preorders are in stock. Lame lame lame lame lame

My local store is getting them tomorrow. I'm going pick up my pre-order. The guy in electronics is telling me that they will have "at least a few dozen for walk-ins".

I got 99 Amiibo and Rosalina are three of them.

(We have an excess of Rosalina here so I'm gonna ship out to the States or trade)

My local EBgames received my wave 3 pre-orders (Toon Link, Bowser, Ike and King Dedede). Sonic and Megaman aren't there though, they say its reported for now.

Sonic and Megaman the new Pit and Falcon?? .. :(

Nintendo's supply is out of their control, but their eBay store has tons of negative feedback about selling out of stock things and then canceling.

They sold over a thousand lucarios, wonder how many get canceled.

For Australia and New Zealand Mega Man and Sonic especially aren't too hard to grab. Ike and Shulk are the toughest.
 
Anyone have a Meta Knight and/or Shulk (Japanese version is fine) that they'd like to trade for either Wii Fit Trainer or Toon Link (both UK versions, sealed in mint condition)?
 
Does anyone know when Meta Knight will be on the shelves at Best Buy USA? I remember people got emails saying their preorders have a release date of 1/30 (or close to that date). My order status still says 12/31/2015. I don't trust my preorders. Help anyone?

I thought I had a grip on this crap, now Lucario is f'ed up and who knows about Meta.

Yeah, this was from an order placed immediately after they canceled the first Lucario presale and sent out the email with the code to get them for 10.99 to make up for their error. I'm guessing a lot of these are backordered. I asked if I was the 100th amiibo chat they've had today and they laughed and said yeah, it's mostly been about the amiibos.

Are you freaking kidding me. This is ridiculous. I might throw in the towel with US figures. I'll just keep ordering from overseas and collect those instead. How is it so easy for me to order as many Amiibo I want from overseas and actually receive them but I can't even get one US figure? Horri-freaking-ble

It makes sense that they're backordered since they aren't in stock and the release date is coming up. It happens when lot with pre-orders on the Square Enix store.

Ike seems to be one of the hardest to find Amiibo in New Zealand, I got the only one that my EB Games got in stock. JB Hi Fi had none, but they did have a Shulk sitting on the shelf. There weren't enough Ikes in the country to cover preorders apparently, a friend had his Ike preorder from MightyApe cancelled.
