I dunno, I was there yesterday and this morning, all they had left was Bowser. So maybe they didn't get as many of the others as we thought.

Got my lucario. They only had two extra to sell and were gone upon store opening. Some disappointed guys in line. I talked to them and none of them are on gaf lol
 
Finished buying Lucario. They kept the preorders locked up in the stock room, and would go back to retrieve them per customer receipt. I asked the woman who helped me if they had a lot of preorders, in which she said yes. They only had 2(!) non preorders. She also told me they didn't get any of the other wave 3s in, only Lucario.
 
You have got to be shitting me. I go to Toyrus, I get here at 9:55 am. The store does not open till 10 am. The doors are already open. That seems strange. All fucking sold out on Lucario. Some one bought all 6 of them. To top it off, I saw someone order a pick up for 8 of them. What I figured a scalper to look like. And he said "so any idea where me other 8 are."


This whole thing is bullshit. I hate everything about amiibos. I am getting sick of not being able to order one whenever I want to.

Well, my plan to go to TRU after work is probably a waste then since I get out at 7pm. I'm just going to stop by TRU on Sunday after I check for Rosalina. I'm fairly certain she'll be there as Target had poor preorder management so there shouldn't be any preorders. So a straight win store buy, right?

Just out of curiosity really. I'm damn sure to someone who doesn't know me, if I get all of my Lucarios today, people could reasonably assume I'm a scalper. I'm picking them up for Gaffers but I doubt someone asking would believe me.

Edit: See, like this too. I have a total of probably 12-15 on pre-order across two different stores. It's going to look bad to some people ><
 
Man, those Rosalina's on UK Amazon were down to a tenner, but within half an hour went back up to £44 then 2 minutes ago went to £50.

Could really do with Little Mac going for a tenner again. He's the only rare one I need.

Man you guys need to work so hard to get them Amiibo's. I ordered my Lucario online after it's release without a problem. I wonder why Nintendo is fucking up so big in the USA. People fighting over Amiibo's can't be good publicity.

I would go right up to him and tell him that I am getting one too. That way he isn't likely to grab every single one and he leave one for you. That is what I am going to do if there is a line at Target on the 1st.

I don't even know what boat I'm on. The last email I got regarding Lucario was this on 12/29:

Good strategy. People here seem to forget that scalpers are people and most probably aren't horrible monsters.
 
Got my Lucario. There were 15 people outside Toys R Us when I got here 10 minutes before opening. Toys R Us had 8 to sell and they had 6 more set aside for preorders.
 
It's times like this I sort of appreciate having a smaller town, even if there's a secret hidden group of gamers like myself hiding somewhere (GS employee said they had about TEN calls about the MM3D New 3DS XL the day it was announced via Direct).

Also Amiibros before Amiiho....rders...
 
Man, so many heartbreaking stories so early in the morning. :(

I'm on my way to work so I couldn't stop by TRU in person. I really hope my buddy going for me is able to grab me one but, these stories are already a bad sign.

I'm planning to go check it out. But I'm going a few minutes before the store opens. If there's a crazy line, I won't even bother. Definitely not going to show up hours early. It's really cold in NJ right now, and these things just aren't worth that kind of hassle.
 
So should I tell my fiance to not even bother driving out of her way to check TRU? She doesnt get out for another 5 hours... Doubt there'll be any left
 
My TRU had 9 Lucarios to sell. Luckily I was 4th in line out of 15. They also had Toon Link and Sheik in the back that people who pre-ordered but didn't pick up. Today was a good day for me!
 
I'm stuck at work, but I asked the wife to stop by TRU to pick up my preordered Lucario. We'll see if the email I got earlier in the week saying he'd be there was telling the truth or they were blowing smoke up my ass. *fingers crossed*

Update on EB Canada. Went to another EB with a friend where he had his preordered. Only 1 Dedede there too. All were preorder only but all others had 3-4 for preorders.

Dedede rarer than Shulk confirmed.
 
I have Lucario pre ordered but I would rather go to a store and pick one up and grab it mysef so the box isn't destroyed or had poor paint quality

Mine has 12 and there all held for preorder by 1 guy... I have 2 tru.com orders in but if I could get one in store I'd cancel cause I don't trust tru.com anymore but if he doesn't come pick them up by the end of today the manager is gonna sell them all. So basically when the manager says ok we can sell them now I'm gonna wait around after I get off at 2 and hope for the best if I don't get it meh... if not its cool I'll just be playing smash bros. on there demo station.

Why not wait a few months, and see if Nintendo gets their shit together with their distribution and also if the scalpers are the ones buying them all up, there may be suddenly a ton of them available because they had to end up returning them.
 
I think I have the biggest bullshit story of all.

I get there right at 9:30, a few minutes later someone walks up and jumps to the front of the line, seemingly to talk to a friend. 9:45 an employee/manager comes out to hand out tickets and the asshole who jumped to the front of the line claimed he was ahead of me despite not being in line correctly and admitting he was in the front. They only had 6 extra and I would have been the sixth except for this asshole and the employee/manger fucking believed him and gave him the last ticket. I argued with the manager and he didn't want to deal with it saying 'you two deal with it yourselves' fuck that and fuck both of them.

I wouldn't even have been pissed if they had just 5, no its that they had enough and I should have gotten one but the idiot manager just didn't want to deal with it or hand out the tickets correctly.

Fuck toys r us.

That's pretty fucked up.

To quote my Toys R Us "Your Pre-order item(s) will be available on January 30th, 2015" e-mail:

We are happy to report that your Lucario amiibo pre-order will be available for purchase starting January 30th, 2015. Your item will be reserved for 7 days from this date.

End of the day does not equal 7 days reservation.

Where are you in Canada exactly? I can't check out my EBgames until noon so I just want to know if it's going to be even worth it at that point.
