VGP is still quite cheap, since the CAD isn't doing much better than the Euro. But importing from anywhere else has really become a lot more unattractive.

Which is a real shame since I didn't only import for the cheaper prices but also in order to avoid the German USK label on the cover :(

Well, I used them to import US games too, so...

Now it's just VGP. But looking at the conversion rates at the moment, there's not lot of money to be saved anyway.

Same here, with the Swiss Franc though VGP is quite cheap for day 1 purchases, as long as I can wait for it to arrive.

And english on the back of the box. And english manuals. But well, those are rare now anyway. Just gonna have to adjust, I guess. :(

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy (3DS) got a bit cheaper at Amazon UK. Is now £25.

Not a great deal, it's been £22ish and maybe even less. But maybe cheap enough for some to pull the trigger.

wow, the 3ds version is more expensive than the wii u version.

nintendo gonna nintendo.

With the Wii U version you can actually use your Amiibos, which are WAY more profitable to Nintendo no doubt.

With the 3DS version it's another two weeks or so before the Amiibo cash starts rolling in.

I heard amiibos are easily available in europe though i couldn't find little mac.

Any hints`?

Little Mac is gone for good from regular retail channels, everywhere in the planet.

it's gone, more so than Marth, Villager and everything else.

you can try japan I guess

Is there any point at all to these things? They don't seem to do anything other than unlock irrelevant trinkets in games, and they cost way more than said trinkets would cost if they were just DLC. Like, what are they for?

In other news, I traded Captain Toad at GAME today. Their trade-in price was £12, but I got them to price match CeX and so they ended up giving me £27 for it. Crazy.

yes, for $30 dls shipped to US.

Your profile says you're in Germany?

Well, for starters DLC is digital. You cannot display it on your shelf. So makes sense that you pay extra for the "display functionality".

Nintendo basically copied the Skylanders and Disney Infinity success. And clearly it still works.

Yeah I get what they were going for, but these things aren't really as versatile, are they? They pretty much just give you extra skins or a random item in games or something. It's a lot of money for nothing. I wondered if they did anything more.

If Nintendo doesn't have a Nintendolanders in the works at this point, due out by this christmas, they're goddamn stupid.

But no, at this point in time, they don't do much more.

Yeah, the limitation of NFC is hurting versatility. They're pretty cool as a fighting partner for Smash, but then nothing else can write to it.

Still, for £10, I'd have bought a functionless Captain Falcon for that, so I'm happy it does shit.

Well, in theory they could make a whole lot more games compatible with them, so it's more like "cross game DLC" in that case. They could also create something like The Eye of Judgment (the PS3 version) out of it. Maybe there's other possibilities.

With the Wii U not doing so great in recent years and them taking losses, it's somewhat understandable that they're looking for other ways to make money.

I certainly prefer this approach over the ideas of Michael Pachter for example, i.e. go third party on mobile devices and milk Nintendo fans with f2p stuff and the likes.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe, £19.99 at Amazon UK (select from list of sellers).

Posted earlier in the thread, and it's out of stock again now, but I back ordered earlier in the week and received my copy today, so I doubt you will be left waiting more than a week or two!

Cool, I think I asked about when Amazon would restock it and I didn't get an answer, but knowing someone back ordered it and got it within a couple of weeks is just as good - think I'll order it now myself.

The Argos deal is still live, and you probably won't have to deal with any stock issues. I reserved a copy and picked it up whilst I was in town a couple of days ago.

Holy shit, what a cool game.

Talking of Argos, they have a deal at the minute of a black OR white PS4 with either Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4 or Lego Batman 3 for £349.99, effectively free I guess.

They also have a deal with a second pad (in a selection of colours!) for £39.99. You can get that one with one of the above three free games too, but they have a version of the deal without them for no good reason. Also a deal with a cheaper PS TV.

Picking up a white PS4 with FC4 and a red pad tomorrow.

Well at least in my local Toys R Us store in Finland there were almost all the amiibos in stock except for shulk (isn't that a gamestop exclusive?). I also saw couple Little Macs, villagers, Rosalinas and Marths. though the price is 19,90€... I just try my best to not buy any amiibos because I know that if I buy one I need to buy them all. I'm weak and can't help it. :(

I probably should check here with you guys (germany) what you think of this.

I was searching for the little mac amiibo, which is the rarest in Europe.

google showed me a site that gives me links to several sites that are supposedly selling the amiibo.

Little Mac in German Online Sites

it's known places like conrad and bucher.de so that's not the problem.

the question is: if Conrad is saying I'll get it sent to me in 10 or 11 days, is that true? can that be trusted?

anyone has experience with Conrad in this regard?

Buecher.de doesn't lie and has "Liefertermin unbestimmt" there which means, it's gone and not coming back.

conrad delivery times should generally not be trusted. For example if you pre-order a game, you will probably get it a week after release. The 10-11 days seems the same to me as "we don't know". Placing an order can't hurt I guess, but I wouldn't hold my breath that you'll get one.

anyways, its worth a try if you ask me, because they wont charge without dispatching
