Yep, a handoff essentially has three outcomes loss, gain, fumble, a pass has five loss, gain, int, incomplete with the added 'bonus' of stopping the clock if it's incomplete make it 4 potential negatives for a pass to 2 for a run.

You run Lynch on 3rd down, and if you don't get in then depending on the spot you could throw it on 4th.

As a Giants fan happy the Pats won. Brady and Belichick had to get another SB win after their last 2 disappointments. Amazing as Kearse's catch was, glad that the Pats victory keeps it from being held in the same status as Tyree/Eli and Manningham plays.
