Was he common? Wow, I had a feeling he'd be sold out in a snap, and that's why I was preemptively asking around here for help. How common is common around you, anyways? 7+ at places you checked?

And yeah, I was worried about the cost of shipping from Australia, so you do bring up a good point.

If you happen to have a lead on another, if you could give me an idea price-wise for shipping and whatnot, I'd be interested, but as was said earlier, I'm sure it's not gonna be cheap. I just randomly decided to take a look at Craigslist to see if anywhere in the area had amiibo. None right around here, but where I used to list that is about two and a half hours away had someone selling Captain Falcon for only $20 and wanted to meet in a public place too, so seemed pretty legit. I'd have to agree with you there, if it came down to it. Inside a mall, by the post office, something to that effect. Still though, I hate that risk factor, not just of safety, but of getting cheated or ripped off.

Yikes, comparing the amiibo to the CG, his limbs are so much chubbier than normal! But if they made them properly slim, I'd imagine it'd ruin the integrity of the design, so I get it. Still jarring, though.

We had Mega Man. Any time after release you're gambling with in-store stock, but you could order online up until the end of release day. Here the window to pre-order is a couple of days so you can't really miss out if you're checking daily.

Yep. Aus/New Zealand are the ONLY regions to get Mega Man and Sonic early. Not even Japan or all of EU has them. It's totally baffling. I don't get why Aus magically gets to have a single date Wave 3 release. What is so special about that region they get it 100% easy. Although Aus members here have said their stock supply (or rather re-supply is really bad). But still. Kind of crazy to go online, and realize Mega Man and Sonic just don't exist yet. But wait, they do. Only in Aus and NZ. Lol wtf

Then fuckin Canada gets Shulk all early too. Fuckin crazy.

Hey, anytime a region gets benefit's yay for them. Got to take what ya can get (and Nintendo screws over a lot of places all the time a lot worse than NA). I'm just saying looking at this overall it's really weird. Usually with Amiibos you can look online and find imports will have things at varying times. But it's strange that Sonic and Mega Man just couldn't make release for 99% of the world. They got pushed to end of Feb, and can't be found anywhere.

But not Aus and NZ.

U.S/NA has taken a beating with the entire world getting the New 3DS (regular), getting our release date months and months later. Then the whole handling of our Amiibos over here has been a mess. It's like NoA is being run by fools or something.

Hey so I'm a bit late to the party today. I went to target before it opened and was able to snag a Rosalina and Luma. There were a few crazy people ripping open the boxes the Amiibo came shipped in before the employee even got to them. But over all not too bad, can anyone get me up to speed on the Sonic Amiibo? In terms of, has any store in the U.S. Started selling him or do we have a better idea on the release date?

Sheriffs department in neighboring county set up two parking spots in their lot with a camera pointed at them just for Craigslist people to meet safely. I've never used it but it sounds like a great idea.

Got my Rosalina amiibo today, so I can cancel that import order. The same two guys that bought the entire stock of Lucario on Friday were here as well, and they recognized me. No apologies issued, they said it was "strictly business" and that everyone had the opportunity to do the same (which is absolute bullshit). Also in line was a GameStop employee who told me that they had ordered more Shulk units to hopefully cover past pre-orders, so my fingers are crossed for the 13th.

After I obtained my Amiibo, however, the two scalpers proceeded to clean house for the rest of the stock - much to the dismay of everyone else in line who didn't pre-order, especially the GameStop employee. I have a feeling that these two are going to try and pull the same shit on the 13th with Shulk; and I'm sure the GameStop employee will remember their faces upon check out, so I'll probably have another Amiibo story on that day as well.

Late to AmiiBowl sharing since I was dead tired from work. I went to Target about an hour and a half early, there was about five people there. They were actually pretty chill and I spoke with them about games and stuff while we waited.

They were nervous about stock, but had told them I confirmed 20 Rosalina a couple of days ago (And 1 per character per person). A few more people came to stand in single file line with us shortly before open and the Electronics desk was all the way in the back...as you can imagine our civilized line turned into a race to the finish. I started running rather late (as I really didn't want to in the first place). Thankfully, as promised, there were enough Rosalina for everyone that showed up early. A suddenly apparent scalper tried to argue purchasing more than two, but the Target employees said "Not enough for everyone to have two so...no." It felt much better with everyone leaving happy than the sour note of TRU's Lucario release when only I got the sought figure.

They also had Sheik and Toon Link. There were like...3 Sheik and 6 Toon Link. I missed out on borh. I didn't want to get Sheik anyways, so I didn't care about that, but I was annoyed from no Toon Link. Anyways, left Target and went to Best Buy's opening to get Bowser and Toon Link (finally)~.

So relieved to have this wave almost done with. Now I just want my hands on Mega Man (plus US Meta-Knight if I can, but already have a Japanese one coming through) and Pac-Man pre-orders!
