The pass play at the end didn't bug me much. The call that bugged me was when Seattle had all the momentum in the world, a 10 point lead, and we got the ball back with 10 minutes left in the 4th, and the play calling changed. 2 runs for minimal gain, incomplete pass on 3rd and 6. I don't know if they were trying to run out the clock (with 10 minutes left? I hope not) or if we were just playing scared. But you just knew the runs were coming, hell even Chris Collinsworth pointed it out. But at that point I was just sitting on the couch thinking "oh, this is where we throw the game away". Ah well, was a great year and a good game. Not a bad halftime show either, I liked the stage effects in the first half of it.

Something tells me that has more to due with the patriots having more playoff wins since brady walked in than what, the rest of the league combined (or whatever that stat was from a couple of days ago) has more to do with why they have bullshit thrown in their faces.

Not to mention coming out after the game and immediately questioning the play call. I agree it was a weird risk to take when you have everything in your favor, but you don't call out your own team like that. His whole pre-sb rant about "nobody believing" was beyond obnoxious, considering pretty much everyone had them at #1 in the power rankings for weeks.
All they had to do was run the fucking ball like they've done all year. Lynch was averaging over 4+ yards per carry. Only 2nd down, still one time out. Why throw? Best RB in the league arguably, helped bring them here. Such a bad play call. You put a goaline formation and run play action pass. Not spread.
It was really the least probable series of events you could imagine to end a game. I did not even realize until watching NFL.com highlights that Butler was the defender in on the insane Kearse catch. Talk about letting a play wash of your back and getting back to work.
