That spread seems about right for the Aus stock. When I did hunt around on release day Megaman and Sonic were surprisingly in stock.
Depends where you live. Some people would be really happy to trade with you if you like too.
I'd be interested in the Pikachu, is there still a base? Also confused, is there actually a Link figure or is that just a box? I don't need the boxes I guess lol.
I'm more interested in how you went about removing the NFC chip. Were you able to do it without damaging the base?

What's their cheapest shipping like? Dunno how rare Ike's gonna be, may be better if one shows on eBay for like 30 with free two day shipping.

That makes the decision easier. hehe. also tells me Ike is probably gonna be a hot commodity. Gonna be tough for anyone to have all 4 Codename Steam DLC at retail. lol
My guess is that they are easier to distribute to. The U.S. alone has 10 times more people than Australia, so it takes longer to build up the inventory for us. Then, geographically, Australia is pretty easy to stock, where its 30 million people are nearly entirely on the coast, and a ship can easily coast around the country and stock stores. Compare this to the U.S., which has a relatively far more decentralized geographical population spread and more challenging distribution channels (Perhaps not economically viable to stock both coasts via the panama canal vs just using one coastline and distributing by land to the other coast).

As far as the U.S. goes... I just wish they would just push up release dates until they can actually allocate supply to each area. 5 scattered release dates is just silly.
Why don't you just import a bunch from Nippon-Yasan, they're only like $16 each (incl shipping) if you don't mind waiting 2-3 weeks for delivery.
I hear ya.. I wish it was as easy for us. Australia is unique in that they are a small, isolated market. Europe is over 700 million people. Japan is small, but still a larger 123 million.
Perhaps it wasn't just that Australia is the easiest market to stock. Maybe Australia was set up to study (western?) consumer behavior on a level playing field - which brands were the strongest? How strong?

They've always worked very well for me, were very zealous on protective packaging and lied on customs to say stuff is cheaper than it actually is. I'm not sure about amiibo specifically though.

Yeah, it's a great site. Sonic and Mega Man won't be on sale til Feb 20th though. Some select US stores will have them already on the 13th...maybe. lol or not. Who knows
Yea, Nippon-Yasan has been good to me in the past as well. I bought my Vita from them, and I plan to import a N3DS XL charge cradle from them soon.
The charging cradle is awesome.
Much better than Nin-nin games. I've only ever went through them as a last resort. I like Nippon-Yasan a lot more.
Play-Asia is also more expensive. Although I've never had any issues with Play-asia in terms of them being on time etc.
Side note: can not believe I just deleted my Palutena avatar. GAAAAH.
That was my reality this morning. My nearest Target didn't get any Wave 3 amiibo in. I should have known.. I called them Saturday, and when I gave them the DPI, they said they had zero on hand. I thought "maybe that's because they aren't "available" yet..surely they'll have at least 8. It's in their circular!" Nope.. haha

I was worried about hunting down extra Mega Mans here in the US in that high a quantity, but if this site works out, I'll be good to go by March. Fantastic!

Sorry, needed to clean up my post it was a mess.
I actually used that seller to buy King Dedede. $25 is basically the price you would pay importing, because even if import sites are $15, once you factor in shipping and import fees, you get up to $25. This is actually IN NA, as Amazon is filling it. And it has prime shipping. So you get quick shipping + fast shipping. It's actually a much better deal than importing tbh.
I used this same seller to get my King Dedede and it comes in tomorrow. In terms of whether it's worth paying extra, it's always a gamble. Wave 3 stock has been pathetic so far. And with Ike, Dedede, Sonic and Mega Man getting delays, I would almost expect them to have shit supplies (especially Ike and Dedede). Worst case scenario, you end up being able to get Ike in U.S. stores easily. You end up losing out on $13. IMO spending $13 for peace of mind (cutting out the stress and hassle) is worth it.
No idea if Ike will be as rare as Marth. But if you want him badly, why not?
The only thing is, maybe you could get Ike at $25 importing after he goes on sale in the U.S. So maybe consider waiting till Ike is out in the U.S. first if you really don't want to lose out on $13.

Haha, why thank you! Yeah, I'll admit, it's a bit nuts, but I just freakin' love Mega Man THAT much. When I got the idea in my head, I just couldn't stop thinking about it, and I decided it needed to be done.
Oh, and you can bet your ass that I'm gonna post pics, and they will be a wonderful sight to behold. Can't wait to do this!

Yea Nippon-Yasan offers FedEx 2-3 day shipping, though it's somewhat expensive.

I calculated it, amd with Mega Man preorder, the total for each figure is about $20, which is not bad at all, I have to say. Especially for the speed of delivery and the peace of mind knowing the stuff is ordered and coming.
You sure change your avatar quite often. Half the time I think I'm talking to someone else because I didn't realize you changed your avatar again lol. But it shouldn't be too hard to recreate right? Just need to redo the transparency and realign things with the original avatars?
Lol. I actually saw the $1 comment and thought, that it probably will be a 100 dollar shipping. Guess that's a bit cheaper?

Just as expected Target never called me. For those who didn't see my original post, the Target I went to lost their box of Rosalinas. One of the employees saw it on Thursday. One guy even had two set aside and those were found but the main box was missing. They supposedly had 20. What kind of irked me was how one employee even said, "I'm glad I got mine" when I came back to ask if they found it yet.
The story about them being misplaced might be true because checking the stock, I see this:

Qty in Stock: 16
and I find it hard to believe there are 16 available with someone knowing where they are. Fingers crossed someone finds them and they actually abides by the list that they took. Given that it's the next day, I bet whoever finds it tomorrow will have no idea the list exists and just puts it out. Bleh.

Hey I think that's amazing. I've never been a massive fan of something before. But I admire those that are. A lot of passion.
Since you need 7 and are doing a project, I think it's totally worth it to just pre order them all even if you are paying a little more. At least you have them secured and don't need to worry anymore.

Okay, what the hell. This is the 3rd time I tried, but my credit card keeps getting rejected on Nippon-Yassan. At the end of the order, I enter all the info EXACTLY as it is on my card, and I keep getting a Payment Rejected screen. Gonna call the credit card company to get to the bottom of this.
This sucks, wanted to order them before I went to sleep, but ah well. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out soon enough.
Anyways, now I'm definitely going to sleep, I'm crazy tired. This Nippon-Yassan site inspires confidence, and the prices are good, so I hope I can get my payment through already. Thanks again for the tip on that and the recommendations. Good night, everyone!

Do they have an order limit per customer? Also your bank might be rejecting an international order that big in cost.
