Super Bowl XLIX |OT| The Butler Did It

Bandwagon cleared pretty quick. Was overloaded ever since last year. Fuck em. I'll be honest, if Seahawks had to lose, I can be happy at fact that it gave Brady his 4th ring.

Going to hit tomorrow though. I recorded it all at home. Will go back to that play over and over. Cusp of super bowl victory on goal line.

WHHHATT?

Hey man, I'm a Birds fan too and I agree with Brady getting his fourth being okay. First of all, he's really that good. There's no reason to deny it. But more importantly, it's a definitive shutdown to everyone who's tried to make the completely meritless argument that that hack Peyton Manning is a better quarterback. I'm just happy that argument is settled. Shut up now, dad.

You're not a deflategater, are you?

jabee needs to just get over it already. hanging onto deflated conspiracies, hanging onto bitterness over some shit no one else cares about.

I just don't get it. I've hated teams in my day but not like this.

...when that interception happened...Pats fans probably had a such an awesome moment.

I can only imagine how that low to high was.

My intention isn't to gloat or anything (we have fans of all the teams/people from all around the world who don't want to hear this right now), but it was pretty amazing. Went from slowly but surely sliding into an inescapable pit of familiar despair (Tyree, Manningham, now this? NO, NO, NOOOOOOO!!!!!!) to (after checking the flags) running around, yelling and spilling shit everywhere like a barbarian. At one point I'm pretty sure I reached a state that could be classified as glee. Very strange.

Also don't intend to minimize Butler's play; he has to make it, if he doesn't hang on or just bats it down, the Pats most likely lose--but what a gift. Wasn't a big Pete Carroll fan when he was here, but now I love him.

Yall are some salty motherfuckers right now, but that was going to happen no matter who won.

I cant believe Bill Nye was being such a little twerp about 'deflategate'. Maybe he should do less bullshitting and more actual science.

That is the thing about this that will still hurt tomorrow. For the actual Seahawks fans, Jesus, I'm sorry. But look at it from the other side, when that interception happened...Pats fans probably had a such an awesome moment. All the stupid sidebar shit, the game was exceedingly well played. I watch the super bowl and a few games here and there, I cannot remember a better super bowl in recent memory. It was such a show, I was shocked at how fast the game was moving. I was actually wanting to watch more.

Surprised there aren't a bunch of Boston Bar reaction videos.

I'm kinda curious how long a loss like this will linger...but then again you have a great example in the Spurs who by all rights should have beat the Heat and loss...before returning the next year and absolutely crushing them.

I do believe they cheated with SpyGate. Deflategate is also fishy but less severe.

I would say Brady's championships are tainted. Without those titles I don't think Brady is better than Manning. There are just so many red flags.

Brady is a great QB, but I don't cheer for him. I think his team and his accomplishments were obtained while cheating.

The worst thing about the Pats winning was Kraft slurring his words talking about his organization circling the wagons before persecution. Really weird cult-like vibes.

To keep up with the fact Brady got a ring, here is how you do a proper goal line pass. Unless you have a megatron type receiver who can jump and secure ball with easy, that's pretty much all you're limited to. If you need to pass, fake to Lynch, look for open TE.

Even then, the risk of a fumble by Lynch is ridiculously low compared to an INT, especially in a game where Brady already had two, and last game where Russell had 4.

It's why there is unanimous agreement it was one of the worst play calls ever. 1 yard goal line, 28 seconds, 1 timeout. Plenty of time for the run which is the smartest option, especially with a guy averaging over 4.3 yards per carry.
Do you realize that... our TE got 0 target in SB... <.<

See you guys next year when Johnny Football leads the Browns to Super Bowl 50 (R.I.P. Roman Numerals) while Josh Gordon sells cars again in Cleveland.

Just let me go you bastards. Let me go...

One of the greatest games of all time for me (along with Seahawks victory over Green Bay), since I start enjoying football recently. Despite the final play, I really like Wilson style. Unfortunately you cannot miss chances against NE, the same mistake Joe Flacco made in 2 plays against them in the playoffs...

What a load of shit. Just because you're willing to be duped doesn't mean the rest of us are. The corruption in this league and the cheating of the Patriots are enabled by bad opinions like this.

Oh look, it's Salty Dog Jr. You and Branduil need to form a support group I think.

three weeks ago I watched football for the first time.

two weeks ago I decided to support the Patriots.

this week they win the Super Bowl in such a dramatic fashion. feels good man :)

The SuperBowl was the first game I fully watched. No longer shall I mock it as "eggball".

The reversed Sherman GIF is perfect to illustrate what we felt.

The reason Pats stans have things like deflategate shoved in their faces constantly is because they act like this. They deserve all the crap they get and more.

As opposed to 'fans' like you, who haven't actually posted about their own team from what I've seen ever, and just whine about the Patriots incessantly in these threads.

Just the ones that believe the shit that franchise is spoon feeding them. There's less of you than you think.

Hello Vilam, how is your morning going? Wasn't it wonderful?

I like how deflategate somehow kept the Colts to one TD. Let's face it, the Pats were gonna win that game either way. Using it to downplay last night just seems incredibly salty to me.

Heck, it's more justified to downplay their win last night by bringing up the fact that they were a one yard rush by Lynch away from losing, the Seahawks gifted the Pats a winning Superbowl.

Even ten years from now I don't think I'll believe that critical play call was actually made.

Amazing.

Carroll's defense was weak too. You're gonna leave the other team like 25 seconds...get the touchdown. You have a friggin timeout, run the ball.

Most people don't actually believe it affected the game. They're just trolling really.

I still can't believe the ending to this game. You literally have a guy on your team nicknamed BEAST MODE and you throw the ball, to another dude, not named BEAST MODE.

Watched the game round my mates house and he has no internet of phone signal. Got to catch up on this thread now. I hope the levels of salt were EPIC.

It looked so easy. Belichick didn't even look like he knew how to respond. He didn't know whether to call a timeout and let them score or to defend.

I felt he pulled a Andy Reid with shitty clock management but it was smart as fuck, either they waste a time out or they gotta hurry and think of a play

Bill had huge balls to do that, NWO

It wasn't smart. If that dumb ass INT wasn't thrown, people are spending all today talking about how Belichick choked on that TO.

No reason to let the clock run like that.

I still don't know why he didn't call timeout. I was screaming at the TV. Did someone ask him that after the game?

(And I think people were probably going to talk about the Kearse catch too)

well yeah, had they got the TD then people would have said it was the best call to avoid lynch
