Even with the Pats win, going back to think about the end of the game is still making my stomach churn. My internal monologue during the Kearse play was basically "Aaaaaaaah it's deep it's deep it's deep. Phew didn't catch it." *ball pops up* "Wait, I don't think that hit the grou-he caught it on the bounce. No no no. Did that just happen again? OMG OMG it did it did! No no no no no no not again not fucking again! How does this keep happening?! Why why why?" Utterly stunned. And then, like everyone else, I assumed it would be Beast Mode for the Hawks win and then the INT happened and aaaaaaaaah why can't any Brady Super Bowl be like last year one way or another? Or even like Drew vs. Brett back in the day.

Yup. It was the precipice of nightmare and perfection

My brother ran around so much after the pick that he threw up. lol

I'll try and ask again since asking last night got drowned out by hype :3

Is there anywhere I can watch the last 10 minutes or so of the game? I missed it and want to see the hyped finale.

Go to nfl.com and get a 7-day trial of Season Plus.

The other option (illegal?) is that there are torrents of the Super Bowl floating around if you can find one of those.

How amazingly poetic is it that the Pats end up winning with some of the magic bullshit finally working in their favor?

Hello GAF! Still feeling good about the win. I had a smile on my face all day and I'm traveling in India right now.

Stayed up all night watching the game, need to get some sleep tonight.

living in Nor-Cal now and being surrounded by Patriots haters at work I can't wait to walk in on my shift with my head held high lol.

It looks to me like the WR instead of trying to swat the ball out of Butlers hands is more concerned with flopping his way to a Pass Interference call.

This is worse because it happened in a real sport.

Wr had no choice, amazing read, reaction, execution from Butler

Does anyone know what Brady was thinking with that 1st interception - he threw it directly at Lane, their was no Patriot in the area. That was a big red-zone moment for both teams and in my mind changed the game completely going forward.

I read Edelman made the wrong read and wasn't where he was supposed to be

I think he was just trying to throw it away before being crushed by Michael Bennett. No excuse though, such an egregious throw when he should have known to just take the sack there.

Wasn't he getting sacked by two defenders? He should have held onto the ball and take the sack.

My buddy posted on facebook "You cant throw interceptions in the endzone at the superbowl #bradyknowsbetter."

Pretty prophetic with how the game ended. #wilsonknowsbetter

I made the comment just before they snapped the ball, that the Pats have a guaranteed 3 points, then Brady threw the interception...

Yup. It was a classic "young Brady" mistake he used to do a lot, but has been really good about avoiding.

He actually had a couple of dagger picks this playoffs... the 2 in this game and 1 against the Ravens.

Fortunately he also played great outside those moments and our D really really stepped up.

And holy shit lol:

Yep, no way a safety is happening with Brady. Best QB sneaker of all time. All that penalty did is rob Seattle of a chance to get free shots in on Brady.

Eh, I don't know if I can totally agree with that. Seattle's D-line had been blowing people up all game, particularly over center, and everyone knew exactly what was coming right there. Not saying it would've been a safety, but I'd have put the odds of that happening as higher than, say, Wilson throwing a goal line interception

So someone mentioned the beast mode guy leaving the Seahawks, is that true?

Fake Twitter account, IIRC.

It's a definite possibility. The Seahawks built their team through the draft in unbelievable fashion. The downside to that however is these guys need to get paid, and right now they have too many mouths to feed.

Nothing official. But certainly plausible. He is gonna get paid big, and with Wilson also supposedly signing a big contract, they're gonna be hurting for cap space. Unless one or both take a pay cut, most are assuming Lynch will be leaving.

Edit: By taking a pay cut, I mean taking less than they're likely to be offered. Wilson makes chump change right now, so he's definitely getting a raise. Question is, how big of a raise?

It's that QB contract that's going to do them in. Happens to every team with a good young qb eventually.

He's done it to the best defenses in the league year after year after year even when everyone in the stadium knows its coming. He has a bionic head.

Brady is definitely prone to have that inexplicable falling backward lob pick with pressure in his face...he gets away with it more often than not, but I feel like in his head he wanted to make a play because FG's weren't winning that game.

As it turns out, and Collinsworth mentioned it, that pick injured Jeremy Lane and in the end that may have turned out as a bigger positive for NE than the lost scoring opportunity, as SEA needed to go to their 4th CB there.

Turns out Edelman broke Lane's wrist in the tackle!

People need to stop with the we beat ourselves stuff, last I checked Seahawks were still behind, and still needed to score.

It's not foregone conclusion that running it get's them in.

You can't count a TD before it happens.

Bad play call, yeah sure.. but let's not just pretend the TD was already scored.
Not to mention it sounds as if they could've counted on that catch.

As a Pats fan, that was the most nerve-wracking game of anything I've ever witnessed, sports or otherwise. I was literally shaking from nervousness in the last few minutes. I even called for an interception, though never in a million years would I have predicted how that went down.

Congrats Pats. Goodbye Deflategate.

Yep. If you watch the gif, the guy is basically in the end zone. A half second sooner and that would have been a TD or at worst a batted down incompletion.
I was referring to Kearse, which could've been worse than the helmet catch. The "we lost to ourselves" argument is not just false but extremely arrogant, completely disregarding their 10 point lead they had and the 4th quarter performance by the Pats.
It also ignores how both teams made bad calls, such as 2nd turnover.

football is a game of chance, sometimes the better team loses
Game of skill, and the best team won.

will be fun to see how the tatto artist approaches this coverup.. do we go for the trophies, or work in NFC in there somewhere?

edit: lol just noticed the numerals. hedge your bets a little, hawks guy!

Dude must have had the biggest grin on his face right before that last Seattle play. His reaction to the INT was probably ten times better than Sherman's.
