That would be cool if the main Persona's evolved over time instead of very late game changes like before. But protagonist must always be wild card.
Hmm. I've been meaning to get around to playing those. What's cool about her, and why would this new character be her kid?

Thought so too. Maybe for the characters to get their Personas, they must escape the "prison of the mind" or something. "Everyone is a prisoner unto themselves" after all.

Finally getting around to watching this. Holy shit I can't be more excited for this. The sylization is amazing, I'm even loving how the damn menu looks! Seems like dungeons will be a bit more diverse than just running around swinging your sword, with bits of stealth and platforming in...goddamn. I want this now.
Hoping there's more than just these four characters though...but still. I said goddamn.

Yep. The persona stories really do not relate to each other that much. Of course there are some minor references to the former persona games. If you have a chance, you should play Persona 3 FES or Persona 4.

Just because it looks similar doesn't mean it's on the same engine. What makes games look similar are assets, not so much the game engine.

Probably a pretty long game like the last ones. I can imagine doing all that with Catherine production values takes a long time too. And as the trailer shows, it's clearly been worth it.

Hey Duck does it say whether or not that footage was from the PS4 or PS3 version. It looked super clean so I am guessing PS4.

Wasn't it confirmed that they were not using gamebryo? It's a different in-house engine powering this. The similarities are probably inspired from the art/shaders in Catherine.

The best thing about Persona is that my expectations for gameplay aren't that high to begin with, so there's little chance I'll be disappointed at all.
We all know this isn't going to happen. It'll be like, Japanese Assassin's Creed-level good at best.
