Music was the best part.
Don't worry, Persona 3 and Persona 4 are self-contained with just passing references to the series in general in all of them...Is playing the previous Persona games necessary to understand this one?
Persona games are completely self contained sans a few nods to the other games and the obvious direct sequels - think Final Fantasy -, hop right in.Is playing the previous Persona games necessary to understand this one?

Oh god!! When I see this shader used in a console game (PS4 FTW! YE!)... I want to have a sequel/port of Freedom Wars on PS4 now... Sheeeeshh!![]()
Just watched the trailer. That was the worst trailer I've seen in a long time. It looked stupid as hell.

Its "stupid" but looks fucking best to me

Much like the previous installments of the series the game is set in a high school - however, the mood and tone will be different. Hashino explains that Persona 5 is about a kind of freedom that is different from the other games in the series. This freedom is meant to liberate those who "are bored and discontent with their lives".
I like how the crowd is literally faceless. It's a nice touch.
I went back to the first trailer and noticed something interesting. I retouched the left reflection a bit.

They're thrill-seeking assholes and that's AWESOMEThey all look like villains.
If the game is bigger than Catherine, I wouldn't be surprised. Catherine only had one area that you could walk around in outside of the nightmare puzzles, and only a handful of characters. If Persona 5 is anywhere close to the size of Persona 3/4, it would be expected they couldn't spend as much time on each area or character individually. Which I wouldn't mind at all, since the game still looks amazing.
So, 2017 NA release?
Its already confirmed 2015 for NA and JPSo, 2017 NA release?
Nice trailer with a lot of style. I really like the heist feeling. The entire vibe of having a group of thieves, planning heists in a big city, is just something I really like. A bit weird that they have a cat with them though. Graphics aren't particularly impressive, but the style makes it okay.
That was the goal. Looking really good because of that.
I know, right? This is going to be a great year for AAA Japanese games.
