Life is Strange | Spoiler Thread

I took that to mean that she is suicidal between the noose and "so lonely" added with the bullying that we have seen throughout the rest of the episode. Maybe Kate has something to do with/knows about Rachel Amber's disappearance which could further feed into her depression.

But yeah, there are a loooot of small things, I should look through all of the posters, etc. in Max's journal.

Edit: If you're talking about the top stuff, I assumed that was camera/lens related

She probably knows something about Rachel. ERRRGH This just makes me want to continue more!

Also the files. "She knows something" might be part of that.

holy shit! - that horn in the upper left of the page = trystero!...

Yeah, I definitely think she has something to do it. She could've had some sort of power as well, or maybe still does.

Poor Kate :(
I think she really knows something about Rachel's disappearance, that photo mentioned a few pages ago couldn't be a coincidence.

HOLY SHIT, wait what's a trystero, I read that wiki but didn't understand shit, I'm too dumb I guess lol

Ahhh I'm really missing this game already. I've made my choices and don't want to change it. Got the collectibles but I just want more! Think I'll just go into collectible mode and chill in this world. Biggest surprise game I've played in a while. Wonderful stuff.

Ok, relevant from the wiki article:

[...] the Trystero was defeated by Thurn und Taxis – a real postal system – in the 18th century, but Trystero went underground and continued to exist into the present day (the 1960s). Its mailboxes are disguised as regular waste bins, often displaying its slogan, W.A.S.T.E. (an acronym for "We Await Silent Tristero's Empire"), and its symbol, a muted post horn. The existence and plans of this shadowy organization are revealed bit by bit; or, then again, it is possible that the Trystero does not exist at all. The novel's main character, Oedipa Maas, is buffeted back and forth between believing and not believing in it without ever finding firm proof either way. The Trystero may be a conspiracy, it may be a practical joke, or it may simply be that Oedipa is hallucinating all the arcane references to this underground network that she seems to be discovering on bus windows, toilet walls, and everywhere in the Bay Area.

So it could be, that Kate just read the book and is fantasying and doodling in class, or that this is a real clue to a secret society that may or may not exist.

The trystero was an underground delivery group, and that was their symbol.

Given that the game references real world media it could be that Kate just read the book itself but it could have some connection. Pretty cool find. But yeah, something with the Vortex Club seems pretty likely.

Also Kate's totally gonna commit suicide at some point, isn't she. ;_;

could prefer to a secret they have within the club or am I over thinking it?
The thing is that in the novella the point about Trystero was that it was - according to what I understood - even unclear if it really still existed. It is if you so want a conspiracy theory about a secret power, not some arbitrary secret.

But the Vortex Club could be what Thurn und Taxis is in The Cryong of Lot 49.

Oh I kinda get it now, thanks!

I really hope not :'(

Looks illuminati to me.

Yeah, I thought it was but I was thinking more about this excerpt from that wiki you posted earlier:

I was thinking that the Illuminati might be those arcane reference/secret society. Maybe it could also have to do with the glyphs by the lighthouse. I though I think I'm overthinking things.

dude, I was thinking the exact same thing, and it would make sense when you think about it.

It would, but then I also can't help but think it's an obvious red herring. Something to throw people off. Time will tell, but it'll be interesting to see how the club factors into everything.

Could very well be, since the only references to the book where on Kate's scribbles, which could mean anything, while the illuminati references are everywhere.

Apropos. Another recurring thing I just recognized in my quick cheevo run: bigfoot/sasquash. I wonder if and what that has to do with anything.

That step dad is real creepy, having cameras right in the girls room, if she is doing private girl stuff this creep can watch

If you want spoilers for EP2. I REPEAT EP2 SPOILERS.
Yes she can die but you can save her if you actually pick the right things to say.

The step-dad is a real creep and an asshole but I think it's somewhat justified. A girl from the school he works at has been missing for months as well as that girl being his step-daughter's best friend. Looking at it like that I think his ways are sort of justified and I reckon he's actually one of the 'good guys'.

I wonder if everything will circle around with Max taking a photo of her or someone else saving someone and going back to the first day, handing it in, and the ending is her going to San Francisco.

Vortex club. Tornado....

Holy shit, what if the Vortex Club is some crazy ritualistic cult?

the tornado is not real but a symbol for the vortex club.
the vortex club will tear the town apart.

the janitor is the murderer anyway.

in the final showdown on the cliff, fighting the janitor, bird and plant will come and help you.
if you did not safe them in EP01, you will die.

Honestly, I don't know what is going on and this is exactly how it should be!

So these are those Ep2 spoilers everyone's talking about in the OT, should have expected it.

That's what I was thinking... up until he hit Chloe and said she was asking for it. Fuck him.

Edit: And it looks like I'm going to stay out of this thread until I finish the final episode, so I don't have to worry about whether something is an untagged unreleased spoiler or just bullshit. sigh

"Amazing" is such a strong word. More like "meh"

Uh... Nope. I think I'd call my experience amazing. Dialogue was pretty easy to hate but the game was so genuine in it's execution it was endearing as hell, to go with the comforting, beautiful atmosphere, and thought provoking gameplay.

lol, what is this? You quote a week old reply to do rude stuff like that? Man, someone's desperate for attention.

It's not that as much as I'd actually like to talk about this, you see, that's why I post here n stuff. I'd be happy even, if the dude actually said why he disagreed, discussion like that is fun.
