... did you seriously just put Friends and Buffy on the same level of House of Cards and Breaking Bad?
Yeah, that's pretty off. Everyone knows Buffy is better than House of Cards.
Seconded.
Friends is a massive pile though.

The fuck? No, it's not. This show is fucking garbage, lol.
This is going to end in a movement about ethics in TV shows.
"A violent video game inspires a real crime"

This is not going to end well
I am a bit curious how they will be portrayed though.
.
The fuck? No, it's not.
Maybe some of its ripped-from-the-headline-inspired episodes are hit and miss, but the show is fucking awesome otherwise. If you're just basing your comment on this particular episode's buzz, then zzz. It's easy to cringe at anything with video games as the central plot because it's usually pretty bad.
When SVU is good, it's really good. Some amazing episodes throughout its lifetime.
Stabler will be forever missed ;_7
I recite the intro out loud in tandem with the announcer when it plays. Every time. Even the sound effect. I never skip the intro.

There's doxxing, swatting, rape and death threats, Sony hack references, everything. Lol.
Using the deep web? I feel like SVU is giving most of them too much creditFirst sneak peek clip / episode footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6I1VQTkrCU

Makes more sense than planning your ops on public imageboards where everyone can read/archive themOh, they do it through the dark web. Of course. Now it all makes sense.
Every instance of a gamer on SVU has been a nerdy wackjob. Trust me, I've watched all 16 seasonsThis is Law and Order. They'll most likely portray all gamers like that.

I can't wait for this. I love SVU's 'ripped from the headlines' episodes. Their Chris Brown/Rihanna episode was golden. Recently they did an episode on Men's Rights stuff so It'll be interesting to see how they handle this one. Clumsily is my guess.
I would love to watch the MRA ep. Anyone know the name or number of the episode? Maybe I will look it up later.
"I won't make the same mistake Sony did; better to be called a bitch than a coward"
wow.

The ripped from the headline episodes are the worst. They put in like five different stories into one for no apparent reason. Just a few weeks ago they did a Shia LaBeouf/James Franco one and last season a Donald Sterling/Jay Z Solange elevator attack.
Lmao. Every videogame related crime show has these two lines in them
"Game on, [X]!" and "It's a game to them!" or variations of them. It's so silly.

Can't wait for GG to be all offended

To use the dark net, you must keep all light out. That's why computer gamers live in windowless basements. The dark net, the network of choice for terrorists, drug dealers and video gamers.
While everyone here is happy this is getting made because it will make #GG look like the fucked up individuals they are. I feel this is going to be a completely cringe worthy episode where gamers in the end are portrayed as one of them - or in a negative light.
This will make none of us look good in the end.
Ohhhh what? lol.
Just be careful of dem "-chans" and "-its" over there! This is becoming an interesting term. It's always been around but only recently been notable in public. It's a catch-all for all the awful crap that people see on the news that happens online and people are starting to figure out that there are common threads between a lot of these incidents and a lot of "repeat offender" websites. Hell, just in the past few days we had the Silk Road and big revenge porn cases completed. There are legal and privacy implications all over the place that we really should have tried to resolve 20-25 years ago.Posting from the dark net here. You'll never catch me!
Same. It's going to be worth a check regardless, but hopefully for some constructive reasons.By SVU standards it actually looks fine. Interested more about the blowback than the episode.
oh my god. It's exactly like gamergateJust saw the commercial for it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XW1OefvEW0
