If you buy the limited edition, it will have that ugly USK rating logo, no matter from what country you buy it from. ;)

(I don't see why anyone from outside of Germany would buy it, though, since amazon.fr is cheaper.)
Wait, so all PAl versions have the exact same cover? I haven't bought a PAL game in ages due to owning US NTSC systems.

Not generally, no.

Some games can fit a bunch of language versions on the disc (especially those published on Blu-ray, obviously), so you'll definitely find PAL games with PEGI and USK logos.

360 games otoh, especially voice-/dialogue-heavy ones, usually can't fit, say, German and English audio, so you won't find USK/PEGI versions usually.

All European special editions of Nintendo-published games have the same packaging because they only produce one for all the countries. The only exception is Skandinavia which (sometimes?) gets lucky with a version for them only since they're not part of one of the EFIGS countries.

All regular editions of Nintendo games are country-specific.

Just heard about this and am about to try it now. Code is FEBGIFT10

Still waiting on that £5 sign up from these guys though, and I signed up a few weeks ago.

I got mine when I joined, but it was after making an order. I think you have to order something to get the £5 otherwise people would just sign up millions of accounts and buy them out of everything under £5.

Fucking awesome. Canceling Amazon pre-order and changing it to this.

Edit: I'm getting a 'Please enter a valid voucher code and try again' message when I checkout. I'm entering the correct code. I used the same code earlier on the same site for The Order: 1886...so maybe that's why it isn't working with this game?

Yup, it's one per account I'm afraid.

So If I make a new account with a separate email, but with the same card details, it won't work?

Worth giving it a shot.. I was eyeing up that £44 Dying Light on Amazon with the season pass, however this is a good deal. And i'm sure the season pass will go on sale down the road.. (also its worth waiting and seeing if the season pass will actually be any good instead of jumping on it right away)

Yup, it worked. :D

The Order for £38, and DL for £30. Can't moan at that, especially considering I'm going to trade them in after I finish them and get most of that back. XD

The Order: 1886 is available to buy at SimplyGames through Rakuten for £36.85, as long as you use the £10 off code FEBGIFT10 at checkout. I cancelled my order at Xtravision and went for this instead, because the last time I went with SimplyGames, I got the game four days before it came out. Seriously, I was among the first people on NeoGAF to be playing Bioshock Infinite.

Any UK types have anything good to say about preorders with The Game Collection? They're the cheapest I can find Majora and Monster Hunter but ideally I'd need at least one to arrive on Friday as I'm going away.

I preordered Shadow of Mordor with them and it arrived 4 days early. My sons copy of Smash 3DS turned up on the Wednesday too.

So, speedy in my experience. I've heard they sometimes send a 'not for sale in the uk' version though, so something to consider if you plan to trade.

That's not what it says in the T&Cs though. It says you'll get the £5 Superpoints within five days; no other caveats.

Give it a try, but change the details slightly so instead of 'Lukas Japonicus, 221B Baker Street', it's 'L Japonicus, 221 Baker Street', and you should be okay to make a second account. Or even better, can you put down your work address as the primary address?

Damn, it's sold out. Am I able to use it for Bloodborne?

You're able to use it on anything £40 or over. However, cheapest Bloodborne there is £53 through ShopTo, so you'll just knock it down to £43. It would be the cheapest I've personally seen it, but far from a great deal, especially compared to international PSN versions.

Yea, not exactly a great deal. Might wait it out still. Gutted I missed the SimplyGames version (they often send games early), though I still have my XtraVision order.

Ordered Persona 5 PS4 from ShopTo (Rakuten) instead. Just under £38 with the code.

Considered this but since we have no idea how long after the US release it's going to come out, I'll probably just get it on US PSN.

I think it's literally the only retail PS4 game I even want, though, so I've no idea what else I could buy with my points!

Bastards, I'm annoyed I missed this! I was keeping a really close tabs on people selling The Order through Rakuten as well, and before now it was only Shopto and Lovegaming. I too have an order with xtra-vision, but I'm a little anxious about it as someone told me that they get European versions of their games.

I received my "brand new, factory sealed" copy of Boulder Dash Rocks from Base.com this morning... Came in a fairly sturdy cardboard box, btw, which was not damaged at all, so it nicely preserved the state it was sent in to me.
Edit: there was another game in the box too, which was also completely unharmed.

Thanks, Base.com.

Yikes. Makes me worry about the order I'm waiting from them.

EDIT - never mind, I misunderstood the post.

But for what it's worth I recently bought two games from Base.com via Rakuten and both were absolutely pristine. Can't fault their service.

"Not damaged at all", but in one of your images you show a crack in the case?

For what it's worth I recently bought two games from Base.com via Rakuten and both were absolutely pristine. Can't fault their service.

The cardboard box the game came in was not damaged at all, nor was the other (3DS) game that was in it.
So it seems like someone at Base.com seems to think it was a good idea to send me that copy of Bould Dash Rocks in its current condition.

Fwiw I used to order from DVD.co.uk regularly and no problems whatsoever.
I put in 3 orders since they've become Base.com and none of them went smoothly.
- Silent Hill 4 (PS2) and One Piece: Pirate Warriors (PS3): OPPW was the Essentials version even though it wasn't listed as such. They normally list when it's the Essentials version. I returned it. They refunded me, but not the shipping. So I contacted them and they refunded me some random amount which didn't fully cover for my expenses.
- Resident Evil (Wii) and Resident Evil Zero (Wii): ordered early December, Resident Evil Zero got shipped immediately whereas Resident Evil only got shipped in January. They were both listed as "Available".
- Boulder Dash Rocks (DS) and Boulder Dash-XL 3D (3DS): see above.

I'm assuming there will be no difference in content between the European and UK versions of this game? Besides the rating logo on the cover art that is.

Thanks, Base.com.

Sucks. But was it re-shrink-wrapped or just damaged?

I received Spirit Camera yesterday from base.com.

It's shrink-wrapped, but not the typical Nintendo shrink-wrap.

Called Nintendo yesterday, strangely they told me that there may be games published by Nintendo, that are not wrapped using the Nintendo shrink-wrap. Offered me the service to open the game for me. I would have to send it there of course. I'm not sure what to do. It's the second time I received Spirit Camera in non-Nintendo shrink wrap. At least this time it looks better. The last "shrink wrap" looked really amateurish (and it was obviously re-shrink-wrapped because the Club Nintendo code was missing and the case was even damaged inside it).

I'm not sure how valuable this information is to non-norwegians, but here goes:

Platekompaniet.no has a special valentine-promotion 25% off (yes, also for games) if you use the offer code

PK-VAL

I got Bloodborne for 411 NOK with this code :)

If the game is not a German version, it will have the same rating logo than in the UK. PEGI (= Pan European Game Information) is for all European countries, except Germany. ;)

That aside, depending on the game and country it might have a different title and back cover text in another language.

PS. I hate it, when you guys talk about Europe, as if you'd be not part of it. The UK version is a European version, too.

Ok thanks for the update. And don't worry, as much as large factions of this country can appear quite anti European at times, I'm personally very pro European.

Yarp, I think the problem is the old language barrier combined with being an island makes us a little insular sometimes, but when it comes down to it, we're mostly as European as much as the mainlanders are.

Technically no, but trading in or selling an EU copy of the game would be more difficult than a UK version. I'd just rather have the PAL UK version if I can. Have a bit of OCD and like all cases to be consistent.

Damn came in here looking for cheap "the order 1886" deals but appears I've missed out.

Struggling to find it under £50. Even the exchange rate is causing it to be 40 ish on the U.S. PSN which is less appealing than the 34-36 we had a few weeks ago.
