Wells totally killed Barry's mom. They just haven't figured it out yet, and now I'm wondering how they will.

so youre saying wells took the blood sample from adult barry, went back in time, planted the spray blood on the wall, then killed the mom. the only way to find out when wells is in the site and show off his power.

No. I'm saying Wells killed Barry's mom. Barry (in the future) finds out and tries to go back to stop him, but fails. That's why there were two figures circling Barry's mom when she died, that's who carried kid Barry from the scene, and that's how his blood got on the wall. He and Wells were both there.

Wells is adult Barry Allen, aged 20 years after being stuck in that time period after failing to stop reverse flash from killing his mom.

I like this theory, but then why would Wells be murdering guys and playing mind-games with Barry? We know Barry is a better person than "You are in my way so I'll kill you."

but that's too obvious. i like my idea. just because it's so dumb. it might happen.

But I thought there were two blood samples. . . Cisco checked both and said that one is Barry's and the other is unidentifiable. If the other sample were Wells's blood, Cisco would know.

Unless Wells has a way to change his blood or planted fake blood or something, I guess he wasn't there.

Did he say unidentifiable? I thought he said inconclusive, which would mean it could be Wells' blood, but the sample might not be enough to identify it.

Promo looks epic.

As for my guess on who killed Barry's mother, it's Eddie.

I also don't think Wells is future Barry. He seems far too smart for it. Barry is smart, but he's not Wells smart. I don't think the time gap would make up for it either. Also, surely, there would have been some signs during the number of occasions Wells and Joe interacted if Wells was Barry?

I think it's crazy that the show is taking place in a post time travel alternate reality. I wonder if we'll ever get a glimpse of how the "original" timeline played out. Probably when Wells does his big reveal monologue.

Might be a Flashpoint situation where this is the original reality, and Barry changing it would cause a whole lot of issues.

GREAT EPISODE

  • Linda gurl: finding a girl as good as Barry is like playing Where's Wally on a poster the size of a football field, don't let him go.
  • That woman in Barry's old house was thirsty. Split between whether Joe or Cisco should get her.
  • Iris reporting on Barry's lack of love life was lousy.
  • Who Wore It Better? Shirtless Malese or Shirtless Robbie?
  • Linda letting Barry eat that pepper was a miscarriage of justice.
  • Special effects were good but you can still tell the difference between CGI and real life human. Torch the guy who does the Ronnie's ignited face!
  • Time travel confirmed. Called it years ago.
  • That Hail Mary last ditch attempt to save Ronnie by Caitlin & co was not the most intense cliffhanger.

Always knew Linda was a lesbo

Great episode without a "villain of the week" plot. I loved them discovering it was Barry's blood. I want to see Cisco geek out over the cosmic treadmill.

Also, Chase Masterson still got it going on.

What if
Barry actually was the one to originally go back in time...to stop his dad from murdering his mom? And Wells goes back to stop Barry, getting stuck in the past in the process?

So what's the final verdict? Iris or Linda. Don't say Snow.

Considering all the reactions I was reading I almost felt like I was the only one up until your post.

Linda's the better catch right now, but we all know Felicity is The One. Iris is fly but she revealed her basic side tonight.

Here is my theory: Barry in the future disappears, shit goes crazy, lets call this timeline B where Barry's mom lives. Wells goes back in time looking to change this future, figures it all happened because Barry was too soft, kills his mom and frames his father to eventually make Barry ultimately stronger.

In Timeline A (the current TV show timeline): Wells is training Barry in hopes the future will change in the process. Maybe he's also trying to keep a way back home open as well as the suit is the one supplying him his speed force.

I assume Barry will find out, and this is where we find out he's the red blur chasing the yellow blur trying to save his mom and either the loop will continue, or he closes the loop and actually saves his mother, creating a new Timeline where all sorts of shit might happen. Though probably not because of the expanded Arrowverse now that I think about it.

Definitely thinking the general already knew Firestorm was going to explode and was waiting for this exact moment.

Cool to see time travel officially introduced. I'm also thinking Eddie is going to have a Hunter Zolomon like origin pretty soon.

Wells being Barry doesn't add up to me, but I guess it could happen.

This show is just so damn fun to watch, man I love it.

Firestorm effects look crazy good to me, I like it better than the F4 movie's Human Torch. I remember when everyone was worried they wouldn't be able to pull off Flash on a tv busget, damn did they prove everyone wrong.

one last thing that bears repeating, DON'T KILL JOE. Seriously Flash writers, that man could have chemistry with a broom.

How the hell is Firestorm's effects so damn good?

So how would you guys feel if we get a full on scene with Future Barry in the full Flash costume and everything?

If the writers kill off Joe, I don't know what I'll do.

Whomever are doing the effects for Flash and Firestorm deserve some substantial recognition. They're really pushing the envelope for TV superheroes. Haven't been this impressed since season 1 of Heroes.

Yeah, Iris is actively being a shitty person to barry now. They better fix that shit right away.

I don't think she's being shitty, just reacting the way most people would in her situation (She's starting it have her own feelings for Barry and don't want to push him into someone elses arms and MAY feel he's fragile seeing as he's never been with anyone. She was trying to cover for him with the whole "give him time!" thing).

That Linda girl is just nosy and good at reading between the lines.

Man damn...this budget must be incredible. Effects better than Agents of Shield and this is on the CW.

Iris needs to fall back. If your not gonna let Barry hit, don't cockblock.

TV?
I'd say 90% of Firestorm's CG is some of the best I have ever seen.

there's some cheesy line on this episode just to remind you its CW. Plus the teen angst.

Waiting for the club scene to appear later.

its ok episode. I do like the time travel part
