Called Gamestop before heading out to confirm they had Shulk's for people who pre-ordered, they said they did. Went there, said I had a preorder, they got it out of the back, and...wait. They can't find my preorder. I give them a bunch of info and they see that I have a Megaman preorder, but no Shulk. I try to find proof on my gamestop account, but just my luck, I can't remember my password.
Manager is about to head out, the gs is gonna close soon. He needs to help a customer do a N3DS transfer, but for some reason the internet is apparently dead at the GS. They have to walk to down the road to a McDonalds for internet just to do the transfer, and he says if I come along and can get the proof on my account he'll sell the Shulk to me. We walk to McDonalds, I send a password reset request, email never arrives (still hasn't now).
The manager has to leave cause his shift is done, but he says he'll call higher ups to see if they can find my preorder in the database, so I have to go back to the GS and wait. Manager makes the call, but is put on hold so lets the employees remaining in the GS wait on hold. They're on hold for 15 minutes, and then finally they get a guy. I give them my phone number, the guy on the phone can see my pre-order, but the it doesn't show up on the computer at the GS. Apparently this is the "3rd or 4th time he's heard of this problem, only with Shulk."
Because of the computer error, they got shipped 1 Shulk too few, but since the employee is fed up of waiting around already and the GS is about to close, he says fuck it and just sells me the thing anyway. I think in total it took me an hour to get the Shulk from when I first entered the GS.
