This thread is nuts. The DF article was a nice comparison. Digital Foundry does not have an Xbox bias. The vast majority of people in this world don't have a bias towards one console or another. People who do have a console bias certainly seem to love looking for them though.

OT: Really nice to see as the generation moves on the harder these decisions are going to be for individuals who have both consoles. Sony really needs to step up their on-line game.

It always makes me laugh when people get uppity because someone states the obvious fact that the PC version is best, if you have a suitably powerful PC.
They are usually the same people who love to hear how über-powerful the PS4 is over the Xbone, which is just as obvious.
I have no earthly idea why I've seen so many people dismissing a report of five to twenty minute waits in matchmaking in an online focused game, which are apparently specific to one platform. That seems worth pointing out. If it's not true, that's a different retort, but DF was doing video capture of their whole play-sessions for the analysis.

The interesting part about the second part of the phrase "if you have a suitably powerful PC" is that the price for that PC is extremely low and only getting lower as time goes on. In fact, it is very interesting how low it is.

Yes but the race between the two consoles is getting closer and closer on multiplatform titles, typically its a trade off. As it is here. Considering this is a online-title I would go with the X1 over the PS4.

I like them including relevant information regarding game performance outside of graphics (as a multiplatform owner), especially since this game is online only. 5-20 minute matchmaking times are awful.

Ooh, awesome. Can't wait to try them out and hopefully keep a fairly solid 60fps on high settings. The game looks great at the highest preset but I got a few drops and preferred to keep it as consistent as possible.
The digital foundry threads always get shit up like this so no surprises.
I hope so. Nobody should have to put up with Halo MCC (at launch) level matchmaking times.

i have it on PS4, looks and plays great. matchmaking does take quite a while, but i have no frame of reference to know if that's an Evolve thing or a PS4 thing

Really don't get the swipes to be honest. Multiplats are going to get much closer as the generation moves on, but this is something everyone expected from the get go. From the video/pic's the difference between the two consoles are really small. Seeing how this is an online game; I would go with the system that has a better online experience and where my friends are at.

I'm sorry, am I missing something? How did he give X1 the edge? It's basically PS4 is the better version in terms of graphics/performance, but there seems to be an issue with online infrastructure currently on the PS4 (which I'm sure will get fixed).
That's one of the advantages of the PC platform : choice is yours. Gameworks won't be shoved down our throat either. I kind of wonder what stuff Nvidia and Turtle Rock will implement, HBAO+ would be more than enough but more tessellation would also be welcome.
A civilized DF thread would not be anywhere near as entertaining. Let the madness flow.
He gave xbox one a +1 using an objective opinion, nothing based on facts.
Visuals are the same regardless of what ps4 you play on, connection quality is not.
