Screamride (360/XB1) demo out today

Available on both Xbox One and Xbox 360, you can try out each of the three career modes in the free demo (the full game features over 50 levels in the campaign plus a robust level creation editor). Want to test your awesome twitch action gameplay skills by steering a coaster car directly through crazy mazes? Then strap yourself in the cockpit as a ScreamRider and ride a coaster through the labyrinth of twists and turns. For a change of pace, you can play as the Engineer and strategically plan how to build the best coasters with the provided tools. Finally, once you’ve mastered riding and creating, tear it all down by playing as the Demolition Expert, where you skillfully fling pods for maximum screams and destruction.

Looks like a fun experimental game.
Kind of like the game...what was the game with the Rollercoaster crashing through hundreds of people? There was a gif somewhere.

Talk about stealthing it out. Is the full game released soon? I actually thought this was one of the more interesting games at their Gamescom conference last year.

Excellent - really been looking forward to this game, and a demo will likely seal the preorder deal! ^_^

Isn't it sad how demos are now seen as an unusual call, and celebrated... ... ...

they talked about screamride on rebelFM and it actually caught my attention so ill check this out. apparently this is using a simple version of the destruction being used in the upcoming crackdown game.

I'm kinda curious to see what this game is about so I'll probably try that.

Hopefully MS will release a demo for Ori as well.

I´m probably not buying this game , but I will check out the demo
But it seems like Microsoft will let this game die , no advertising/marketing so far

(Apologies in advance for going off-topic)

Blimey, a Demo?!?!?! they are rare things these days!

In all seriousness, they really are. I don't have an Xbone but I got a PS4 last month, and the first thing I did was go onto the PS Store and look and demos to download, and the list was ridiculously meagre. Looking on the web store now there are 10 demos; four of those are Lego games, three are EA Sports games and the others are Thief, PT and Destiny. Last gen when I got a PS3 and 360 the first thing I did in both cases was to go on to the marketplace and download loads of demos each.

Nice that there is a demo. I would probably not have bought the game on its concept alone, but if I can try it I will give it a chance. :)

Will definitely check the demo out.
Not expecting to pick this up day 1 as it comes out pretty close to Ori but may pick it up at a later date if impressions are good.

Initially my interest was piqued, as I used to love creating extreme coasters in RCT, but the text above has my a little worried.

To me, it sounds like it could be a pretty shallow collection of three minigames, rather than a fully fleshed out "game"

Wasn't this game supposed to have CLOUD POWA...?
No, you may confuse it with Crackdown, which had a tech demo that is reminiscent of the destruction in Screamride.
Most people speculated that this would benefit from the Xbox One's mystery cloud-computing technology. But as far as I can remember, the developers have never mentioned any kind of cloud support for this.

What a great surprise! I am looking forward to this game.

Edit: Is it on the marketplace yet? I want to dl it before I get home.

Is there a way to download the demo to my console from a web browser so its ready when i get home like I can do on PS4? I am a new Xbone owner. Still need to learn the inns/outs

normally you can, but I am not sure its possible to get demos from the web store for the xbox one, unless someone can educate us both!

if i remember correctly ken lobb said its using a toned down version of the crackdown destruction and because the scale is small enough they simply used a few cpu cores to do the computing locally. the destruction in crackdown will be much bigger.
