Street Fighter V - Charlie Nash trailer; beta for all pre-orders in NA

I'm still holding out that, maybe one day, I'll be able to play as Ingrid again. However, I am a realistic person and I know that will probably never happen. Oh, and Q, I would love to see Q make a comeback.

This is not a bad idea. Shall we do this? There must be a dedicated Street Fighter or Fighting Community on GAF. We could bet on whether Ken is part of the initial roster. It's a 50% chance at being right since there are only two options. Losers wear an avatar of my choosing for one month. If I lose, I'll wear an avatar of your choosing for one month. I'm obviously in the "Die Ken Die" camp.

You need enough people to participate to make it worth it though.

In all seriousness, I'm pretty sure Ken's in it but he's going to be faster than normal, since Ryu is slow in SFV but hits like a fucking tank

Except Ken is Best Character.

Ken's so damned good, Capcom gave Ryu 1P side, so kids would play as him.

Ken's so damned good, special moves use Ryu as a qualifier of him.

Ken's so good, Ryu used to dye his hair to match Ken's gi.

Ken's so good, he married a beautiful, wealthy blonde chick, and she lets him globe-trot barefoot.

Ken's so good, he never got HIS victories retconned.

I think that is important for a lot of people to realize. People are complaining that the game is too slow but its not the game that's slow, it's Ryu. He is turning into his bulky, slow, hard hitting self like in 3s. Plus people can't judge the game from just one build.

Tell me about it. I honestly wish they would go with the fact that Oro is training an older Ryu(thus combining the two styles), and Sean being Ken's more-than-capable apprentice. Alex comes and is Ryu's main rival(and new poster boy, again), and Vega(Claw) was responsible for hacking Charlie, resulting in Guile feuding him as a face and Charlie feuding as a heel vs heel. Just straight forward shit. The story is bound to be terrible anyway, so just keep things simple.
 
I'd love to see a Ryu fight with a arm behind his back. Though I'm curious what would Ryu actually borrow from oro even, none of it seems like it'd fit ryu.
 
Since Ryu is a hard striker, he could use a version of Oro's bicycle kick that he juggles with, but Ryu could use his as a hard spike knockdown, a bit like Makoto's Axe kick. Maybe give him a juggle state from crouching FP. I'd say a command grab, but I'm not sure how that would turn out. Let him use rock shield as a super, and if you do the ultra while it's activated, it will infuse with the rocks.

I've got nothing.

Btw, I see a 'small' number of characters for launch (16-19) and a ton of them coming later during several years through DLC. How about if Ken isn't there day one but is added later as DLC?

As long as it featured an older Sakura/Karin/Mika in it, i don't care what they do when transitioning the period forward.

When Sakura meets Ryu again we can assume its a while after SF3 based on the amount of years the timeskip was
 
I call bullshit at 16 character rumour. I expect 20 to 25 characters in the initial roster. Then DLC characters Killer Instinct style to follow.

I think the roster will be similar to SFxT with a bit from every game instead of just being Fuck THawk 2 Turbo with a few Alpha characters like Vanilla 4, and if they add SF4 characters she's no doubt first on the list.

I honestly feel the same way about Ingrid. She was fun to use in Alpha 3, and her move set was enjoyable. But there little to no real chance that she'll ever come back.
 
Dunno 'bout you guys but I want Ryo and Robert from AoF as guest characters in this game.
If we ain't gettin a new SvC or CvSNK, at least let them FIGHT.

Weirder things have happened. Plus Ingrid was part of SFxT's story so who knows? If Urien is indeed dead we need a new reflector - though it's more of a ranged grab, I guess?
 
really hope they put grown-up/no sailor uniform sakura, with a revised moveset to go along with it, showing her growth if you will

Yeah, that's rumored to be considered to happen tho. Well, I think people should based their expectation on 16 characters to make it super safe since you don't really want people to overhype the games but again that's the issues with NeoGAF. People always overhyped things and got disappointed when they don't get what they wanted.

To set my expectation low, so I'm definitely going with rumor. 16 characters, 4 newcomers (Rachid, Laura, Zen and one more). Also, I'm talking this rumor with grain of salts but it's believable in a sense since the rumors got few information right so far.

- The number of characters in the starting roster will be between SFIII and SF IV. He knows the number but not the returning cast.
- There'll be 4 new characters and he knows 3 of them.
- Focus Attacks won't return.
- It'll be released in 2016 and that the month is easy to guess. (He said to think about japanese fiscal years).

Then he dropped some interesting clues. He usually nicknames his Pokemon with stupid joke names but not this time.

3 of his pokemons were nicknamed

- Rachid
- Zen
- Laura

We can assume these are the 3 new fighters he knows about. He also kept mentioning 3 places in the world and he said "there was a reason": Brasil, Africa and India. We can assume Rachid is from Africa and (more probably North Africa), Zen will be from India and Laura from Brasil.

He also named another Pokemon "V-Trigger" which is probably the name of the new SFV mechanic.

So, you know everything. I repeat, I think we can 100% trust Ken Bogard but don't forget either: we're still early in development, things can change.

tl;dr: RUMOR (which I believe is true) French VS fighting commentator seems to have info about SFV. Launch date 2016. No new versions, just updates. 4 new characters: Rachid (Africa), Zen (India), Laura (Brasil) and one more. New mechanic called V-trigger.

Beh, it would take too much works to find other few more rumors that was posted on NeoGAF since it got spread over like 4-5 threads so I don't feel like to search through all posts. I did tried to find it but decided to stop because it's time-consuming to try to find specific one.
