It's amazing to see my friend who has openly critized Apple for no removable battery for years, completely make a U-turn on S6 because "the battery is fine now".
Yeah, if you want a outdated device.
I wonder how accurate this image is. Hmmm…

I think they have chosen a situation that highlights the iphones 1/15s shutter speed limitation. For all we know they could have lowered exposure on the iPhone or boosted it on the S6.
Man, that S6 Edge looks amazing. Is it going to be something crazy like $900?"
$850 apparently.
Thanks!
That's probably out of my budget, but man I love the look.

This is why the image is underexposed.
Anandtech said:However, in order to keep pace with the iPhone 6's maximum of 2000 ISO and 1/15s exposure time, the iPhone 6 Plus drives exposure time as far as a quarter of a second, which is four times as long.
When they showed it during the press conference they said the S6 was using default settings, no touch-ups or Photoshop. For all we know they could have lowered exposure on the iPhone or boosted it on the S6. White balance looks better in my eyes on the iPhone (too warm on the S6).
Comparisons like this are always funny because you could take a 48,000$ Phase One and shoot a black frame if you wanted to. Show me something repeatable and falsifiable.
Specs after my own heart. No chance this is coming to NA huh?
Have you used a xiaomi phone for an extended period of time? Once the honeymoon usually ends in divorce
How much is this version? Any reviews?
No 2 Ghz octa core, big.LITTLE.
2.0 Ghz quad core A57 cluster (big) and 1.5 Ghz quad core A53 cluster (little). A53s are what low end phones like the Moto E and G have.
That it's not a 2.0Ghz octa-core. What part of my post is unclear? What part of my post was wrong? It sounds like you just want to trash Qualcomm here.

Do you ever make a post where the final goal isn't to talk shit about apple?Hope you're calling him out for it. Sounds just like Apple fans with their screen resolution.

S6 edge 32GB. I'm expecting this to be $300 on contract. I have my wallet ready, Samsung. Bring it.

I'm still holding onto the 4" screen size being perfect and anything above being a bunch of silliness.

The best move Samsung made this year was to not make the Edge version gimped compared to the normal S6.
It's exactly the same phone aside the curved screen (and a bigger battery).
Aslo correct me if i'm wrong but the S5's Snapdragon 801 was on 28nm right? If so the jump from 28nm to 14nm FinFET will be absolutely huge and it's more than enough to cover the reduction in battery size.
You and me both... too bad there's nothing on the market for us anymore.

The one thing that bugs me about the edge variant is that it supposedly has the same resolution as the standard. Now consider the fact that phones are the same width (within half a mm), and that the display goes the entire width of the phone and bends down. If you took the non edge screen and bent it down, it'd become narrower. So we have a situation where the same resolution is being applied to two different aspect ratio screens (edge being wider). Non-square pixels? Seems unlikely. Just odd.
2015: The year when smart phones specs no longer matter.
Keep arguing about core-count, frequency, and PPI, guys.
Thanks to mobilesyrup we now know how much the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will cost in Canada.
Non-removable battery?
Welp. So much for the marketing movement.

Also, charging 100$ more for 32 GB respectively 64 GB sounds like a good reason to remove SD card support...
I've owned an iPhone for the past three cycles but damn that S6 Edge is beautiful.
Then again, I'm not buying a phone over 5" so I won't be buying one.![]()
From what I understood in the first look, the S6 edge no longer has a really discrete "edge" display. They just bend the edges of the panel (and bend it less than the Note Edge). There is still a pretty noticeable lip on the sides (at a glance, it looks like a thicker lip than on the regular S6) so I'm guessing it's just a standard SAMOLED shape but with whatever tech they needed to bend it. :/
one tenth of an inch is a dealbreaker for you?
