ARROW Season 3 |OT| Welcome to the New Age

Diggle seems like the most obvious choice. He's the only non-superhero, non-love interest of the main group, which makes him the least plot important character. His subplot this year has also been raising a lot of clear death flags (settling down, starting a family, asking Oliver to be his best man, balancing his at-home responsibilities with whether or not to go back in the field, etc.). The only reason I can think of that they wouldn't kill him is because they still haven't resolved the story of his brother's death with Deadshot and HIVE.

But apparently the Suicide Squad ep is just two weeks before Broken Arrow, so if they address that there, you know he's definitely done then. :lol
:(

I really think it is Roy based on his tweet. It makes sense. Budget wise it is probably expensive to have a second archer and Oliver really doesn't need a sidekick. I think they are going to make Ollie more of a lone wolf without Roy. Dig is different because he is his own man, with a different fighting style. He has his own life and doesn't need Ollie to train or mentor him. Also Dig can act as Ollie's conscience. Roy doesn't really offer anything. He's a loose end.

Also the title of the episode is pretty telling.

Diggle's death is so easy to telegraph after that wedding shit after he said "you're gonna be my best man oliver" I was fearing the arrows he was about to catch lol

Please swerve on us and kill one of the arrow babies instead, Diggle and chesthair are great. Plus he truly feels like a voice of reason

They should bring back Komodo too, dude was cool

Oh wow it's sounding like Roy though, i wonder if it's a consequence from stepping up to merlyn

If it is Roy that's going I wonder if its the actor whose choosing to leave or the writers getting rid of the character.

I think it's Thea.

The head cast Willa just did was for her death scene.

It better not be Roy. Unless Colton is taking his talents back to Teen Wolf. Then I'm fine with it being Roy. Jackson needs to come back from Europe.

But he needs to become Green Lantern, so he can't die.

Right! Diggle doesn't die, he goes to Oa!

Man, that sounds something a nerdy mother would say to her little child: "Uncle Dig is in Oa now and smiles down to you."

Stiles is leaving Teen Wolf to become Spiderman. Roy is leaving Arrow and his role as Arsenal to become a Teen Wolf.

Full Circle.

if merlyn dies he'll come back like one season later with a shit eating grin.

anyways there's only one savior for this show. they need to get taraji p henson as season 4 villain. amanda waller's rival sister who just got out of jail.

Meryln already "died" once in the show. He was gone for most of season 2.

The way the tweets sound, it seems like a character extremely close to the main cast is gone. It seems like a particularly "sad" farewell rather than the others. Lance and Diggle have interacted with the main cast the most so it would be more logical for people to be sad if one of them left.

I really hope it isn't Diggle. Dude is the emotional center of the show; and the show still needs one.

I'm hoping it is Roy / Felicity leaving for the spinoff. Felicity dying does set up Atom pretty well; losing two people might push him over the edge to be a superhero permanently; but I think Felicity is quite easily redeemable.

I could see Roy getting offed by a metahuman / badass, GA feeling that he isn't a good leader, and then takes up Ra's offer as the "solution". I really think having Ollie take up Ra's offer is the logical next step for the show.

So are they just going to kill off a major character each season? Is it that really the only way they can create a compelling character arc? Having them go through the pain of a dead loved one? Seriously. There are other ways to have characters go through shit and have an interesting arc. Damn.

I feel like those tweets are being a little overdramatic if it's just someone leaving the show and not being killed off.

They seem to do two per season: Yao Fei and Tommy in S1, Shado and Moira in S2, Sara and ??? this year.

My guess is it's going to be Roy, or maybe Laurel.

Or maybe they're just crying at Walter coming back from the dead and then Slade popping up and killing everyone in the Arrowcave

Damn, now I want to see that happen :lol

Based on comments Marc Guggenheim has made; he has (earlier this season) talked about giving Diggle and Felicity important story arcs in Season 4; so I don't know if they changed their minds, or it is going to be someone else.

Merlyn isn't going to stay main cast forever, he'll be killed or put on a bus soon enough but I'm not sure how emotional that will be.

Chesthair doesn't do much anymore. What's left for him other than learning Oliver's identity? His emotional beats are mostly relegated to Laurel. They don't really need a police liaison anymore and Laurel has access to that information anyway.

I can't see Diggle dying. They've been taking his Suicide Squad and HIVE storylines very slowly. Roy's arc is a little less clear but he's actively in combat. Cannot see a good reason for the girls to die, they all have plenty of character development to go.

So it's Tommy. Tommy will die, again.

I'd rather Chesthair reconcile with his ex-wife and move, maybe take an early retirement and move away to be with her. Maybe become a PI in Central City or Keystone.
Cue spinoff.

Yep, he is not needed anymore.

I don't know if this has been said on here yet, just seen on Facebook for comicbook.com that a rumor is that they want
Damien
as a villain for season 4.

What?
How would that even begin to make sense? To start, isn't Damien far too young for that? This Ra's Al Ghul claims he hasn't been beaten in over 60 years. I think it'd odd to say the least if Batman didn't at least beat him once before Damien came about.

The article said he was going to be a
